There's been some update on the line since the fall of the last forum; namely they've been sending out review samples of the upcoming minotaurs and romans:
They're also planning to release a line of post-apocalype/cyberpunk figures next year, to run concurrently with the roman/gladiator stuff:
So looking forward to that Minotaur. I didn't order the Romans - just not my thing. I know Xesray was hinting at some Barbarians coming next and I am definitely intrigued by that idea.
Tempted by at least one of the minotaurs. They all look good though. At least they're affordable. I've ordered from 5k in the past, but I remembered I put $1 deposits on the brown and black minotaurs via Gundamit. They may take longer to arrive, but they don't charge shipping so they'll end up being a little cheaper than 5k.
The butterfly joints not really swinging back is disappointing. As is the limited head/neck range. Still, impressively large with acceptable articulation for a modest pricepoint.
The Romans don't really interest me.
Nice- was unaware of the Land of Exile line. So far I'm an Xesray completionist (excepting the Con exclusive). If the new line leans more "Mad Max" and less sci-fi, I'll continue to be all in.
And Xesray are releasing more female figures; one's Berenice 2.0 and the other is a female praetorian:
Xesray announced two new female gladiators today: Bereniece v2 & Cassia (whose armor is similar to the Praetorian Guard armor).
Bereniece looks to have the newer headsculpt we saw posted a few months back (with the side braid). Unsure if Cassia has a headsculpt under the mask/helmet or if the masked head is her basic look (the male Praetorian Guards in the line do not have unmasked faces).
Berenice looks different enough from the v1 to be a different character, which is appealing. Hair stuck over one shoulder may be a bit limiting/frustrating. Wonder if they'll eventually make a black/gold version like the LACC version, which I kinda regret passing on.
Berenice was the only one from the previous wave I managed to get my hands on, so low key wishing the V2 was for one of the other ladies... not sure if I grab this one anyway. I'll get Cassia though, for sure. These figures are great and I really like the ones I have.
Have we heard any updates on the minotaurs, Slaughterhouse and Thales? I hope @Robokillah gets at least one and a fight breaks out between them and Beef Boss.
I think I still have a minotaur on preorder, haven't heard anything.

The Minos have been delayed to late January according to Xesray's weibo, apparently due to factory issues but they didn't go into detail. They do seem to struggle with this; iirc the Gladiatrixes also had delays, but it could be a case of this being part and parcel of toy production and them being transparent actually makes it seems worse. I really don't know though; we'll just have to wait and see at the end of Jan.
If anyone can't wait though 5ktoys has the red rhino LACC exclusive version in stock:
Speaking of LACC, they did have some new prototypes there as well:
Just paid my balance on the minotaur figure! I went with the black version (Thales), but it was a tough choice. I may break down and buy the other one at some point, but I'll make that decision once I have Thales in hand.
Got the request this morning to pay for the balance of my order of Kasos and Thales. Totally pumped for these beefcakes.
As did I. Paid the second half for the pair. Can't wait to get them in hand.
My Thales arrived today, and this thing is all types of awesome. I wish we were still on Tapatalk so I could easily share some pics, but I'm pumped. I can't believe this thing is only $65, as I look at other indie toylines offering so much less for $75+. I think I'm going to go order Kasos as well. I thought I would only need one minotaur in my collection, but well...here I am needing both.
