New heads/armor?
That's fair. Btw for anyone considering buying multiples of these raptors, please keep in mind that while Nanmu has advertised a $34.99 MSRP for this product if you have been following their socials, it seems that many vendors have taken it upon themselves to include a markup by 5%, 20% or in some cases even as much as 50% in the case of BBTS. So no matter where you buy from, if you are the type of collector who likes to army build your dinosaur collection, especially when it comes to raptors, now would be the time to break out the credit card that offers the cashback rewards if you have one. I know its not exactly the trip to Honolulu you we're planning to take with your family but still...a score's a score...5K ships out of a warehouse in the US, at least to US customers, so yeah, they still do have to wait for stuff to get here before they send. So they're a lot faster than say BBTS, but some of the ones that ship direct from China will likely beat them most of the time.
Review out for the the Maestro Union Panda bros. Some of the paint looks kind of rough.
So the new FuRay Planet Blade Master Weng figure is up for pre-order on BBTS... and I love, love love me some anthropomorphic tiger actions.
I was really hoping he'd work well as an ancient long lost warrior on my Thundercats shelf - he's listed as "1/12" scale, so I wasn't sure what that would mean exactly, but the height is listed as 8.7 inches tall - which makes him WAY bigger than any existing anthropomorphic cat figure I currently display. He looks amazing, but I don't know if I can drop $100 on him and not be able to display him with my other stuff and I don't have enough space to give him his own area... the multiple heads are all gorgeous. I'm super tempted... I'm going to be wrestling with myself about this figure for a minute I think.
I see Master Weng as his own thing, even separate from the other FuRay Planet figures since he doesn’t make sense with off brand Leatherhead, modern military werewolf, and crackhead rabbit. (Maybe he works with the Rage Toys Turtles, I wouldn’t know though, I don’t have any)
I see the original as Weng as a masterless Ronin wanderer (I really need to buy one of those aftermarket soft good cloaks for him, it’s a shame to hide him under a huge plastic shell but the cloak makes the look!), the white tiger variant is him later in life as an ascended master, stripped of all his battle gear, just sitting somewhere in the mountains sipping tea under a cherry blossom tree waiting for someone to find him so he can pass on his teachings….
This newest one will be him in his youth as a savage warrior, before he found inner peace and learned violence isn’t the answer.

Do you not have the original version? The white version is in stock at BBTS and has been out for a bit (original version came out a while ago).
I like the figure, I just don't need another version of the same figure with a few different pieces of add on armor.
I didn't get the original version - I guess the white Tiger motif didn't look "tiger" enough to really catch my eye? Anyway, I'll be noodling for awhile on whether I go down this road or don't.
I bought the first Master Weng on sale from Amazon around Thanksgiving '23 for $62. Cool looking figure, but I kept him less than year.
5K is asking for second payment on Mithril's Morna.
So i recently spoke with representatives at Nanmu Studios this past week and they confirmed that the Velociraptors are on track to ship out to retailers as of these next crucial few days. So for those of you who have ordered from places like Lana Time or aliexpress or other sources overseas, you can expect your orders to process by the end of this coming week.
And here are the Nanmu Velociraptors! Damn these turned out better than I hoped!! Huge shout out to Andy's Dinosaur Reviews for getting to take a look at some early review samples.

Those look pretty nice, I really like that Tiger Raptor. The paint apps are very nice! I might have to do some shopping.
So are you an investor, or a co-owner, or a friend of the owner or something? No shade, I just see a ton of posts from you advertising these guys so I was curious.
Nah I'm just a customer and a fan of the Jurassic Park brand who's been dying to see something of this caliber since the franchise got off its feet in the early 90's. And while I'm not a religious or spiritual man in the slightest, when I saw these Raptors they looked as if they were blessed by the spirit of Stan Winston himself. I was like "Holy Shit someone finally did it....I must share it with the masses to ensure it doesn't land with a thud."And here are the Nanmu Velociraptors! Having said all that though, If Nanmu requires a friend of the owner or a corporate investor.....I would like to accept the position and be paid for it lol.
Those look great! I think I'm in for the tiger striped one. The old JP toy was one of my favorites as a kid.
@drawingturtle I think I remember the raptor that you are referring to. In fact I may still have that raptor around here somewhere. that was one of the electronic raptors right? from The Lost World? or are you referring to the tiger striped looking one from the first JP line because that was also kind of tiger striped but I think that one was technically based on how the Velociraptors looked in Michael Crichton's original novel.
Anyway I wanted to showcase one more link from Andy's Dinosaur Reviews and this time it's a youtube short comparing the new Nanmu raptors with the old Mattel 1/12 Amber Collection Velociraptors from a few years back. As you can see they are around the same size and have roughly the same articulation setup, the only major difference here is that the Nanmu raptors do a much better job of resembling the Velociraptors from the first two Jurassic Park films, as one would expect from a premier art studio.
P.S. I'm not sure if this needed to be pointed out or not, but the raptor color scheme for the Shadow Blade variant that were chosen by Nanmu are primarily based on the more current color corrected 4K resolution footage on the latest digital renders from Universal that feature a more sepia tone and not the original 35mm film stock that originally featured a more grayish/blue tone that was originally shown in the theaters and on tape. So if some of you remember the raptors being more of an indigo grey than a mustard brown in the original Jurassic Park, this is why.
Dang. Just seeing the comparison pic I can't wait for these. Thanks for promoting these figures by the way. Put in an order a few weeks ago and get my shipping notice from Lana Time a few days ago. The Amber Collection was and still is an amazing figure of a JP Raptor at 1:12 scale, but these are head and shoulders better. I feel like the Amber versions will still be better toys, but can't wait to get my basic Namu raptor in to compare.
