I saw those and my heart dropped, but then I just had to laugh. What a Todd thing to do. Maybe some slightly better paint, but nothing else new? Not even a walker, new or old? Ay yi yi. Problem is, I don't know if these are gonna sell well enough to even get a second wave, and if they do, is that second wave just gonna be more re-releases?

On one hand, it's nice not having to spend the money, but man, what could've been. Guess I may dip into Hiya's offerings, if they keep producing good figures.

Pretty much. I think they were banking on the spinoff shows reigniting interest and doing better than they did. The lack of zombies I will never understand. Those figures could go into so many other collections.

Couldn't see anything in Diamond's booth. What's going on over there?

Well this was...lackluster.  But unsurprising.  WOuld've been nice if they'd at least thrown in one "new" mold/character in the wave like Rosita.

Got an email from BBTS that Hiya's 6" Dead City Negan is up for pre-order. Looks good!

Nothing was shown from Diamond Select figure wise @SDCC either. Hope that's not a bad sign.

@deckard Apparently, DST announced the next wave of Walking Dead figures at their panel. I have no idea who was announced, but it gives me hope the line will continue.

Edit: just saw on Instagram Negan and a walker are next

Yup, Negan and Walker are next. Series 1 should ship next month.

News on the line has been glacial. Is it down to approvals?

Not that I am aware of. Maybe production? We like to ship a wave before soliciting a new one. Series 2 will be offered late August.

I need to check through my old AMC TWD collection and see if I have all of them. I think I am missing Merle, but if not he is the one I would want a second one of least. If these feel better and I have them all I might grab one of them, but otherwise I will hope for new characters to follow.

The coolest thing they could do is give us more comic characters. Carl post time skip would be my biggest want of all for the comics.

Edit: Just remembered DST is doing comic figures, in b&w, and in a scale I like more. I will probably grab Rick and Michonne, then I am excited to see the Negan once I can find an image of him. Hope they do later arc main characters like Carl, Dwight, Magna and more. I might be more excited for DST line then McFarlane, which is sad to me.
