"The Boys" figures (Mafex, Figma, Neca)

My local collectible shop just posted a pic to Facebook yesterday that he just got Homelander & Butcher in.

I don't think he'd ship, but I can ask him how much he wants for it?

@tenime I'm going to check with a local and a semi-local shop and see if they have him. I'd be curious to know how much that one in your store is though. I doubt my stores have him.

I wonder how the Figma Homelander would look with the rest of the Mafex figures? He is listed as 6.3 inches and Butcher is listed as 6 inches so it seems the size would be fine.

I just wonder about texture/shine and all that.

I may get him anyway. He is more expensive but not as expensive as secondary market Mafex Homelander.

Unsure. I don't like how Figma HL looked at all, so I chose Mafex, and have stuck with them. Is he the only one Figma's even done so far?

I found a Mafex Homelander on Amazon for just a little more than the Figma. I like the face on the Figma more but the overall proportions and coloring on the Mafex. The likeness on the Mafex is still an improvement on the Neca Homelander though.

I'm worried it may be a bootleg. I had bad luck with a Figma Link from Amazon years ago. Reddit helped me determine it was a bootleg and I opened a return to Amazon and sent it back, then they told me not to worry about it (after they had sent me a shipping label).

I'll post it here when he shows up and see if you guys can help me determine if he is legit or not.

I also went ahead and ordered Butcher from BBTS because his quantity has dropped from 13 to 5 in the course of a few days and I didn't want to play this same game again with him that I did Homelander.

I'll grab Starlight and Noire later and already have the Deep and Soldier Boy on preorder. Hoping they move forward with Maeve and A-Train and don't cancel the line or anything. Don't want to get burned yet again on figures from this show.

See, the likeness of the Figma was what turned me off & made me choose the Mafex lol.

Maybe go on eBay & do a search. Knockoffs will always say on eBay "China version" or something of the sort, because they know they'll get negative feedback if someone figures out it isn't legit & they didn't specify, but also on eBay at least, bootlegs will typically always be insanely cheap, like $35ish for these types of figures (Figuarts, etc).

I got a Batman Begins Mafex bootleg for custom fodder, and it wasn't anywhere near the price of a legit one.

@tenime I ended up grabbing the one from Amazon. From what I hear from the Mafex subreddit there isn't any bootlegging going on with the Boys figures yet. Probably not popular enough. I'm sure they watch secondary market prices to determine what is worthwhile for them to bootleg.

Maeve and A-Train look great.  Glad to see a painted prototype of them and see some progress.

Looks like a Homelander reissue is coming out.  Naturally I paid a premium to get him already, after initially missing out, but good for the health of the line.  A-Train also went up for preorder.
