So it seems like Vecna is a different (non-cartoony) line, is that correct?
@misterskeezler yes, he's part of a more traditional D&D line.
I saw the Vecna in person, and he was really interesting, mainly because he looked nothing like a S7 Figure. The sculpting detail, paintwork, and articulation all read like a different company, maybe a mix of SHF and NECA? Maybe it's because S7 usually does more cartoony properties and their IRL people are cartooned as well to a degree. Or because it's a prototype. Or because of the supposed behind the scenes changes. Looks really good though, if you want a Vecna.
The 2003 TMNT looked a lot different, too. Not just articulation, but finish - the plastic reminded me of the Revoltech 2012 TMNT figs. But again, they are protos so who knows what the in hands will be like.
I received my invisible Sheila today and I have to say she feels so much better than a lot of older Super 7 figures. The ab crunch is actually functional. It appears to be a ball joint style articulation point and gives a very good range of movement. I think she is probably the best female figure that Super 7 has done. Their most recent Thundercats figures also felt like a step up but Sheila makes me very excited to get the rest of the kids and really puts the Hasbro ones to shame.
Been seeing images of Vecna floating around FB ads and I am getting more excited for him. I've been having fun doing toypics on insta, so i'm super excited to add Vecna into the mix. Who do y'all want that is not a cartoon figure? I think Strahd is a safe bet, maybe Lord Soth, but most other gamebook characters I am not sure would be popular enough. Even if I would personally love Agdon Longscarf or Princess Xedali, I know these won't get made. (Though I will keep my fingers crossed lol.)
I'd be interested to see some Old School characters make the leap from ReAction to Ultimates! Like some Erol Otis designs and such.
I'd also really like just a generic mindflayer.

I don't think I'd want Super7 to do them, but I'd love to get some 1:10 scale Baldurs Gate 3 figures.

I made some mock waves the other day just daydreaming about someone doing BG3 characters. I think these characters deserve good figures, and I would pre order everyone in a heartbeat. Give us the Emperor, he would make for a cool Mindflayer, and I love that character lol. Dark Urge could do a cool Dragonborn. Karlach for a Tiefling. Astarion for... well, Astarion, but I can say to get us an elf. 😛 Heck even side characters like Alfira would be instant buys for me.
The Vecna figure has been canceled, so that's that I guess.
I’m a little sad to see Vecna dropped because he was a cool looking figure. Maybe he’ll show up as a D&D Reaction figure. After having the GI Joe Reaction+ figures in hand for a few days I really hope we see D&D figures in O-Ring style too!
That is disappointing - I liked the look and thought it would be different enough on my shelf to stand out. I wonder if BBTS will ever take down the pre-order I have or if they'll just leave it up, pending forever.
How'd they announce the Vecna cancelation? I know TNI reported it, but I didn't see anything from Super7's official social media channels.
It isn't entirely their fault, but I'm pretty bummed out. I can't see myself purchasing another Super7 figure going forward.
It must have been email to those who ordered directly.

Honestly it was the first thing I've ever been interested in from Super7, so maybe I jinxed it.
