I really like the change up. It's definitely WAY different a vibe, but it's showing me what they can do. And I already love the figures I have so far...so hell yeah, count me in. Robo-Wuffer is coming home with me.

I believe he is, so I get why he's in there.

Fits in with the smaller figures, which is what I thought it was one of to star with.

I'm genuinely not sure I understand the logic behind thinking that the half-naked anthropomorphic wolf with the Trap-Jaw style metal arm doesn't fit into the MOTU/TCats-inspired line of half-naked anthropomorphic animal people with swords and laser guns. To each their own, of course. Not saying 'you must like everything to like anything' - but not liking something and saying it doesn't fit in are different statements.

Also, yes, as was said - this is just a 7" riff on the almost identical bear figure in the 4" line.

Looks very cool. Not my cup of tea, but looks very cool nonetheless.

Despite having some issues with Spero myself, I think it's important to preface this by saying I've never suggested that anyone not buy from Spero, and I certainly haven't said they aren't making good figures or anything like that. What I'm going to say now is that Spero is a joke and you should ABSOLUTELY only buy their figures through a reputable third party like BBTS.

Some of you may already know and remember that I had an issue with an order when the KS was shipping back in June. My order was sent back to Spero because they used the wrong shipping company and blah blah - not super important and not even the end of the world or anything. But my order was returned to Spero and Spero sent me a cancellation email that I would be refunded my money minus the shipping cost (which is bullshit, but here we are - I didn't argue that point).

That was in JUNE of '23.

Since then I have repeatedly been in contact with Spero concerning this refund. They keep insisting they sent me a refund. That refund has never hit either of the credit cards I used for the KS (I used one initially and ended up using a different one for the backerkit - both cards are still active in and in good standing). I've been basically ignored for large periods of time until I get fed up and say 'hey, where's my money?' and get a response of 'it was sent' - basically. Repeatedly. But not the actual information I need to prove it.
And I've left fairly sizable gaps between my own emails because I genuinely didn't want to badger them over this and give them time to figure out what happened. I wasn't even angry. Now I'm angry.

The most recent exchange was in NOVEMBER where Jason was -finally- CC'd into the emails. Fucking November. Adam emails me back saying he'd forwarded the matter to Jason (should have done that fucking months ago) and CCs Jason in the email chain. Know what I've gotten since then? Nothing. Not a single word. Since November. Over a matter that's been ongoing since June where the resolution is SO goddamn simple.

All I've asked for, since they insist the refund was given, was an exact date and transaction number, and the credit card the refund was issued to. There's NO refunds on either of my credit cards. I have no idea where this money went. Worth noting is that I have never accused them of wrongdoing. I've made it very clear that I need the information I'm requesting because it's possible my credit card company messed something up and I just need to show them. Now, I think that's overly kind of me. The reality is the money was probably never sent back to me at all.

That money has been gone for a long time now. It's really not about that anymore. As cliche as it sounds, it's the principle of it. 7 fucking months of being dicked around over a couple hundred dollars. There is absolutely no excuse for this. I used to be a huge fan of Jason's work (toys -and- comics). But this is fucking disgraceful. Don't buy anything from this guy directly. Whether by intent or incompetence, Spero is just not trustworthy or reliable, so far as I can tell.

That's terrible you haven't gotten any confirmation of your return.

I did preorder wave 3 directly from them.   I may use caution and not do so in the future.  Granted, I don't have to deal with customs, which was the original issue with your shipment.  Hopefully, they fulfill my order without an issue.

I imagine you won't have any problems, don't get me wrong. But the reality is - if this is how they DO handle issues when they occur, then even a small chance that there could be a problem suggests to me that buying from a third party is a better idea.

DEFINITELY not saying 'don't buy Spero stuff' because that's crazy. It looks great, and all the reviews have been terrific. And I genuinely don't think this is Jason like.. stealing. But even if it's just disinterest or incompetence - that's not great.

Any updates as to the next wave? Feralist Stalker on BBTS still says January, but I imagine places would be getting in early copies for review.

The Kickstarter for the new wave goes live March 6. New bucks, new figure styles, new accessories. Looking forward to this!

Surprised these haven't been posted yet; protoypes were on display at Zolocon including some characters we haven't seen before.

These new figures look pretty good. I'm definately in for several of them. 

Some thoughts:

• If this is the new Grimes, as some have stated, then that's too bad. I really liked the look of the old 4" Grimes, and hoped we'd get an updated 6" version of him. Nothing against this bulldog though, I definately like it, and hope to buy it. But I really want a Sheep Dog too. 
• I really wish these came with tails. A fox tail and a curly chameleon tail would push these figures over the top.

After listing to their latest Interview. It sounds like the Kickstarter is starting early March. They are selling figures in groups of two with a weapons pack (which I don't like the sound of, but we'll see how it turns out). There may be a workaround though where you just pledge a dollar amount, and then when backerkit opens, you purchase the individual figures you want.

Sounds like two Brawlers plus a weapons pack will be $100. Two standard figures plus a weapons pack will be $80. All in is $325-$350 and includes 8 figures and 4 weapons packs. If more is unlocked there will be another all in (that includes all the unlocks) which will be $650 - $700.

I'm very interested. But I'm also a cherry picker. I never go all in. So we'll see how this goes.

I sure wish they'd they'd give an update on wave 3 or, if they've released an update, I knew where to read it.

I too am done dealing with Spero due to their poor (non-existent) customer service. I reached out several times about an order not being fulfilled over the span of about 8 months. I received no response to my first email then got a response after the second one saying that I my order will still be completed. I waited a few months and received nothing so I followed up again and got no response, then again and got no response, and again and got no response… then later saw that a credit was issued for an item that is no longer available anywhere (but still no actual response to my emails).

I do like most of the figures and there are a few future ones that I want to complete a squad, but I will deal with third party retailers instead and then be done with the line after those.
