They look good, but I really don't have a "human explorers in space display". No idea where I'd put them.
well, if you happen to be a Marvel Legends collector too, you can use the swappable heads, and the blue and green bodies to army build space forces for SHIELD and Hydra. Actual height comparison permitting of course.
That'd be some pricey head swaps. 🤔 😆
My plan was to have a blue one as my SHIELD space guy (someone has to fix the satelites)
And the Green one to hang with my Joes.... but if the red and white ones get unlocked then I'll be in a quandry... I might have to white instead of green and just add the red one on? Those are future me problems 😋
With retailers, like BBTS, being aboard on the line, maybe they'll pony up and push orders for the white and orange colors.
So from what they said in the video those retailers won't be participating in the kickstarter. They're coming in after it's all over with wholesale orders. From what they said it seems like if the kickstarter doesn't get it across the line, it's not going to be saved by the retailers. The wholesale deal just makes the bar to clear the kickstarter lower.
I wasn't assuming that retailers will save the KS. Just that if the line does fund but the higher up items I want (white and orange astronauts) don't unlock via the campaign, they will have an easier time of being made down the road since retailers will be carrying the line. It's certainly a future world problem. And we just may get a Classified astronaut before this KS fulfills anyway, which may make the whole thing moot.
And I realize this may be personal bias, but I think the KS should have started with a white astronaut as a base option. Certainly white astronaut suits are more desirable to the masses than other color ones. Would have given the campaign more of a chance to succeed. But again...we'll see how this whole thing shapes up.
I do think it's weird a glow in the dark red zombie is available from the get-go but a normal red zombie is an unlock.
I agree that it probably would have been smarter to have the white astronaut suit be one of the base offerings. As you say it has a much broader appeal as a representation of real world astronauts. I think the creators of the line really thought the zombie angle would be the hook, but I think they are missing a bet as I think the astronauts might actually be a bigger draw.
Maybe I'm wrong. I do hope it gets enough interest to fund as I would love to have a couple of these astronaut figures.
Yeah I'm with you folks that I just assumed the white Astronaut would be the primary one. Seems like they sort of let the lore of their world lead the way there and put the "military" and "science" astronauts first. Which, yeah, I think that's probably assuming people are already invested in lore they don't know as opposed to the figures they can see. It was an odd choice.
But we'll see. I really hope it funds. I'd like at least two of these guys.
They remind me of this Pac-man inspired picture
@spongyblue A Pac-Man variant would be a hilarious stretch goal.
BBTS listed these today - just the Green and Blue Astronaut and Zombie, since obviously the others haven't unlocked yet - but that may mean thay may gather some pre-orders and put an order in to boost the kickstarter.
@panthercult Yeah seems likely. Fingers crossed. It keeps ticking up each day, but we're in the doldrums of the campaign.
