Not part of Prime Days sale, but Invisible Man and Frankenstein's Creature (color) are both $24.49 right now.
Has there been any information about when Remco Dracula will come out? I'd hate to miss out on the last one.
Nothing yet, but one of the ToyFair walkthroughs with NECA suggested it would likely be a NECA store exclusive, essentially how Phantom and Creature were of you didn’t attend the cons. The latest issue of Toy Collector magazine came out and supposedly the Monsterfier playset will also be a NECA store exclusive and preordering around Halloween. So I wouldn’t be surprised if they went up together. Or at least I hope so shipping can be consolidated.
I really hope the table isn't hard to get and that the international shipping isn't too high, missing that will be annoying.
They said here it won't be a show exclusive, so hopefully he'll be easier to get. But he didn't say or know how exactly it's going to be released:
I was hoping to get Dracula before Halloween, but doesn't look like that's gonna happen. I want the Creature too, but I can live without him. Dracula is essential. Not interested in the glow in the dark Phantom, personally.
I also tried to paint the hair on Frankenstein's forehead. It's not perfect, but I like it better than having the sculpted hair being unpainted.
I would very much prefer a regular release Dracula, but if it is an exclusive, I really hope I can order it with the Monsterizer. I just want to make sure I don't miss out on him. I love the old Remco toys and these are a great tribute.
I just got creature fbl. Wow! Articulation is nice, wasn't expecting double jointed torso. The giant feet make it great for getting into unusual poses, and the subtle variation in the 4 sets of hands is a really nice touch. I was looking forward to this figure the least probably because the film was pretty late to the party, but I'm impressed.
I was happy to see the packaged reveal of Dracula, but so disappointed at the same time. Why did they use a different picture on the card?
@captaincracker my only guesses are they couldn't get the original image or it's some kinda contract issue with the Legosi Estate, maybe something like "images must be accurate to the movie" or something, since the original cardbacks image had edited on fangs which Legosi's version of the character doesn't have.
@alienking that makes sense, but it's still a letdown. Especially since I want to display them with my old carded ones.
I made the mistake of buying a B&W Dracula from Amazon Warehouse since it said like new with damaged package or something like that. It came missing the hat and cape. It sucks that some POS returned that, but I guess I learned my lesson. I made sure to tell Amazon in a chat that the person who returned it stole some of it, but I doubt they care.
@captaincracker Amazon Warehouse used to be a go-to for me with stuff like G.I. Joe & Marvel Legends. Got badly burned on the Viper 3-pack (windowless packaging) and I gave up on that. You're right - Amazon doesn't care. The Viper pack I returned (all the weapons were missing from the box) was back up for sale at the Warehouse within a few days of my returning it.
Looks like the retro Dracula is up for pre-order on NECA's site, for those who are interested.
Thanks! Got my pre-order in. Was hoping we could get Dracula before Halloween. Oh well, I'll be able to do a cool display for next year's Halloween. Hopefully I can find the GITD Creature for a decent price by then, too.
