Has anyone seen any updates on when these will go up for pre-order? I thought they are supposed to be shipping before the end of the year. If so, I assume they would be going up for pre-order any day. Maybe I am misremembering the dates.

SDCC showed Q3 2024. I am not fully aware of how Neca works but do things go up for preorder like normal? I was hoping to just see a few of them at Walmart or Target next month. Maybe at one of the Target events?

It's all over the place these days.  They could just start showing up in store, or there could be a pre-order, or they could offer them first through the NECA Store.  No telling anymore.

Most NECA product seems to hit the big box retailers first, then goes up for preorder at online retailers and comic shops shortly after. I think that's been the pattern for the Halloween Kids and a lot of their stuff. I feel like we have to go all the way back to Gargoyles to find a new IP that went up for preorder well in advance of it showing up at retail and I think that was because NECA was unsure about how that IP would perform. Dinosaurs may have as well. Sesame Street seems like a relatively safe bet for NECA so I'd expect it to just show up at some point, and even if preorders do appear before that, expect Target/Walmart/Best Buy to get units first.

@bills-all-day B&E up for preorder on BBTS. $38 there so likely $35 most places.

Bert comes with the letter A (and his button collection plus more) and Ernie comes with the letter C (and rubber ducky).

Your guess is as good as mine why Bert doesn't come with B and Ernie with E and eventually Cookie with C.

I think the first few releases are spelling out NECA.  At least that's how they had it displayed at SDCC.

@cmoney Please don't step on my entitled toy fan rant with actual facts and logic. (That does make sense though)

@fac a true Sesame Street afficionado would ask why Bert doesn't come with a W. If you know, you know.

But seriously, if they tried matching the letter to the name there would be a lot of duplicate letters and a lot we would never see.

@fac Thanks for letting me know! I just pre-ordered from bbts. Maybe I'll find them at a Target before January, but I'm not holding my breath. This is a dream line, so I am happy to wait a few months.

I wonder how long before Count and the 4th figure go up for pre-order. I'm hoping soon, but I could see early 2025. I just hope they make a decent number of figures a year. I'd be happy with around 6 per year.

I thought they might have been going in semi-alphabetical order for the letters (and also thought they might do a number for The Count), or could have gone with matching the character name (but yeah, no repeats if they had already put out that letter). So was looking for a pattern...

I forgot about the W and Bert, had to break out the Google for that one!

@bills-all-day I would assume quarterly on new solicitations for now, so yeah, winter 2025. With NECA though, it can be all over the place. And if these do very well, then don't be surprised if they start saving new figures for the many Target events held throughout the year. Pretty much all of the TMNT stuff is released like that now and even Gargoyles has, at times, followed that pattern.

I am so excited on these. I use to buy TMNT but have sold most of my figures, as the cartoon just isn't the line I wanted. Gargoyles is great but I am almost to a complete collection (Just need Lexington and the inevitable MacBeth, plus I may grab a few here and there especially for the cape wings.)

Now though, I only have two main Neca lines. DND, and Sesame Street. And I plan to go all in on Sesame Street.

Bert and Ernie are preordered, I cannot wait for The Count, he is one of my favourite characters. I am so excited for this line, though I hope I find them in stores before they ship.

They have to make at least 26 characters to get us all the letters, right? Hopefully that means there is a chance for more modern characters. I really want a Julia figure.

I kinda want the figure paired with Count to be one of the monsters so we can see how fur will look in this line. The figures of the felt Muppets look great, and I assume the furry Muppets will look great, too. I'm just curious how they'll look and compare with Palisades. My guess is Cookie Monster or Oscar will be the fourth, so we'll see how a furry character looks.

Although, I could see them doing a less popular character to pad the line. If they're getting to the full alphabet, they will be getting pretty far down the popularity list. If not Cookie Monster or Oscar, I'm hoping for Mr. Johnson or Simon Soundman. Maybe the padding will come later when the line is more established.

That's a good point about going with a monster character for variety.  I hope they do as well. Oscar was my most wanted figure from what Palisades showed so hopefully that's who NECA goes with. Plus, he has a natural variant they could do as he was originally orange.

I'm hoping a full fledged line gets us these characters, bare minimum:

Cookie Monster, Grover, Oscar the Grouch, Big Bird, Two-Headed Monster, Count von Count, News Flash Kermit

I'd love to see these get made:

Snuffleupagus, Elmo, Telly, Harry, Barkley, Guy Smiley, Forgetful Jones, Prairie Dawn, Mary Lou

Peripheral and modern Muppets I wouldn't mind getting:

Biff & Sully, Mr. Johnson, Don Music, Murray, Abby Cadabby

Do you mean Betty Lou? Or is Mary Lou someone also.

I definitely want all of those. I would add Sherlock Hemlock and the Amazing Mumford too.
