I don't see anyone talking about this awesome Kickstarter. Story and characters created by the artists behind Guardians of the Galaxy. Figures sculpted and engineered by the 4 Horsemen.

I don't like their high crotches and tiny waistlines, though it's done like that to accomodate those overlays and/or parts sharing, I presume. The Pale King is the only one that I like enough to consider buying.

Oh yeah?

Well, I don't like YOUR high crotch or tiny waistline.

Boom, roasted.

Lol, to each their own.

The designs and name legit made me think this had something to do with the metaverse. It feels like all it's missing is a sleek video advertising it as a new kind of collectable.

The designs are fun in that crazy intense way, but I don't see myself going hard into the line. I've got mixed feelings on how Four Horsemen engineer their figures, so I need a really great design. Andy Lanning doing the lore is cool, though.

I feel like I'm bombarded by new lines every few weeks. Are we at a market saturation point?

They look fine and all, but definitely not enough variety in the core figures for a product that's be paid for BEFORE production.

I have to say that I think it's bizarre not to have actual photos of the actual figures.   And even the add on pieces - extra heads,  armor and weapon packs -   I can't actually see what I'm ordering... just generic thumbnails.    Are there more pictures somewhere?       The six pack says "six figures of your choosing (if unlocked)"    What does that mean?    How will we know what characters are or aren't "unlocked"?

Why on earth would anyone pledge a bunch of money to what right now amounts to a total mystery box?   I feel like this campaign is really poorly organized unless there is a link to a piece of media somewhere I'm missing.    Like the stuff they toss across the screen in their little video - some of it is compelling... and some of it is WAY overdesigned -  but how do I know what's what?   And which figures are locked and what does it take to unlock them?

I feel like there's an enormous piece of the puzzle missing her for me... is it just me?   I'm a little surprised that $48,000 has already been thrown at this thing on what appears to me to be blind faith.

Look, I don’t want to yuck anyone’s yum, if these click all the right buttons for you live your truth and have fun.

But  there’s a lot weird about this to me.

First, I find it odd it really goes out of it’s way to give us the bios on the writer, the artist, and the Four Horsemen but not a single “about us” mentioning the guys who assembled the crew and are ostensibly making the toys. Feels like it’s trading off their good will and industry reputations and not being honest they’re doing work for hire for a new company and that’s a recipe for disaster if this is one of those Kickstarters that doesn’t deliver so the writer, artist, and the Four Horsemen are harassed demanding the toys not the people actually responsible for making them.

second, these look generic as hell. Again if that’s your jam, let your freak flag fly and ignore me, but it doesn’t matter who designed, sculpted, and wrote the lore when Cyberius Maximus (the most dollar store toy name EVER) looks like someone trying to skirt the copyrights on making a Mandalorian figure by Star Lording him up 12%. And speaking of Star Lord, again not insulting the art team on this, no one cared about the Guardians of the Galaxy until James Gunn made them a space pirate crew that loves 70’s rock and roll lead by the worse Chris. Go look at all the articles from before release calling it Marvel’s riskiest movie and what could be their first flop. Until the movie the Guardians were a bunch of fairly generic space guys and that same sensibility really carried over into these toys.

are these Legions compatible? It sounds like they might be since the articulation scheme is the same and they go on about the Horsemen engineering them, but never outright say or show them having swappable parts with Legions… I feel like that needs to be address before you get a lot of disappointed backers who wanted to put the Ice Guy in Hagnon’s blue armor but can’t because the pegs are too different or who would have bought a shit ton more if they knew they could make them into lava knights.

finally… this was supposed to have NFT’s wasn’t it? “Meta” Travelers, “Digital” figure viewer, “AR” experience… they were going to sell these as a web 3.0 “next level of collecting” experience but the market crashed before the Kickstarter launched so they walked all that back, didn’t they?

in closing, not for me, but good luck to them!

Yeah, don't fuck anyone's mum.

I really like the designs of most of these. And that space epic feel. And the colors. That Quick Jak color scheme is smacking me in the face with a bunch of colors my toys don't often have. Nekzus also. Gatekeeper is simpler but I dig the black and white meshed with that particular design.

Where are you getting the names and designs paired together?   I saw a couple of names on the spec sheets in the video and some pictures of various characters but it wasn't a lot.    Do we know which characters are unlocked at the outset of this?

The names and designs are further down on the Kickstarter page. Quick Jak is stretch goal 1, for instance.

My desktop browser won't show me all of that.   It stops after the description of the creative team.   Had to look it up on my phone to see the initial character offerings.

Having looked more closely I might be in for the Spyte Usurper and maybe the Gatekeeper.      The sculpt on Quick Jak and on Nexzus look pretty good but I hate the paint jobs on both of them.   Garish and busy.

Hoy-boy... That's a significant number of red flags. Like, even the red flags have red flags. It's red flag-ception!
