I'm curious on price point. Is this the first time Loyal Subjects did a BBTS-first route?
MASK was never my thing as a kid. I had one, lone, purple Corvette looking car and I think I almost immediately lost the figure that came with it because I have no memory of it so this line isn't for me. I will say, I felt bad for MASK fans when I saw it was The Loyal Subjects that got the license, but they look okay. Maybe they're getting better. Sure seems like MASK fans are pleased so far, price pending of course.
I had the Thunderhawk (red car) and Condor (green motorcycle). Never had any other MASK toys. I'll rebuy those at least. I was looking at a site which had images of the vintage MASK line. So many of the designs just aren't very exciting. Or just don't make sense. Hell, even the main villain vehicle changing from a helicopter to a plane doesn't make too much sense to me.
I do wonder about the quality of this revival line. Loyal Subjects isn't known for good QC. I imagine Hasbro still needs to approve everything and won't let their property be massacred.
Still kinda surprised Hasbro can't figure out how to revive MASK. Spin it off from Transformers. Bad guys figure out how to use Cybertronian tech (from dead Transformer?) and make transforming vehicles. MASK is formed to stop them. Transformers meets the Fast and Furious franchise.
I really hope these turn out okay. MASK was my absolute favorite as a kid. I still have one lone survivor figure (Buddy Hawkes!) in my office desk drawer who somehow made it through a million moves and a house fire.
I would pretty much only want to buy the Hurricane (Hondo’s ‘57 Chevy) because I wanted it so badly as a kid. I liked the original toys enough, but with nothing really distinguishing these from those, I’m not sure how invested I can get.
I'm a big MASK fan and I have a large vintage collection that I love. I'll definitely be getting these, but I wish they had a little bit more of an update to them. They look a little too much like the old toys.
I wonder what this means for the Ramen Toys line. The two that came out are really impressive.
My only Mask as a kid was a black and orange car with door wings that i found in school (and still have). However, young me really wanted a Rhino, so much so that I actually still remember the name. I don't even remember why I wanted it, but I kind of still do, so I may grab that one.
I didn't look too closely at first, but I love how the figures came out! They have so much more detail and even facial expressions.
My brother and I had most of series 1 and 2 until my Mom gave them to a cousin who was interested in them shortly after the line died. We agreed, so I can't totally blame her. Whatever vehicles I now own were bought from eBay in the early 2000s except I still have my childhood Boulder Hill, missing a few pieces like the gas pumps.
I've been waiting for a comeback for so long. I'm in for these new releases even if I already have the originals (never did rebuy a Switchblade).

I think I saw this exact thing in a comic somewhere.
But yes, MASK is the exact blend of G.I. Joe and Transformers. It writes itself.
As much as I wish I could say I want MASK, though, I'm neck deep in 1:12 scale toys and can't really see myself getting this line. Maybe it will motivate Ramen to try out a 1:12 Gullwing.
