I'm gonna check maybe 2 Five Belows tomorrow, after that I'll go aftermarket.
Ducked into my Five Below the other day, but Itchy and Scratchy were gone. Doesn't look like they've sold a single other figure- 4 whole pegs of Barts, Krusty, and a couple Sideshow Bobs.
As far as the new wave, I'm glad I snagged Milhouse and Grandpa that day, since I haven't seen anything but Kamp Krusty Barts since. Still on the lookout for Ralph and Comic Book Guy. It's a shame that Macy's doesn't seem to carry the single smaller figures. I've seen a ton of the family pack, house playset, and Krusty Burgers, but no single carded figures. A metric ton of the newest wave of larger figures though- Milhouse seems to be the best seller from this wave. Only seen a handful of him.
I impulse bought Homer, Bart, and Lisa a few weeks ago, and have been on the watch for Marge and Maggie. Why are they so hard to find right now? Is it too soon to look or too late? I’ve only seen remnants of the wave at GameStop (Lenny, Baseball Homer, Milhouse). I only want the immediate family.
I remember the Playmates line being like this too. Other than Rick’s online store selling sets, it was nearly impossible to order them online for anywhere near retail. I don’t miss all this hunting around. I’m luckily sticking to just the 5” line. The 2” line seems even harder to collect. Making itchy and scratchy 1 per case was an idiotic move when they’re cross comparing with the larger line. They don’t seem to be complementing each other rather more competing with each other.
Norm, the Marge wave is just hitting now so you’re not too late on her and Maggie.
I'm kind of thinking it might be Marge in the 5 inch line and then I'm done actively looking for other figures. I'm in the UK and there aren't any listings or pre orders, this line is going to be a nightmare to collect. I know they're different companies, but it's similar to the Jazwars Star Wars line which seemed like initially available everywhere and then suddenly they seemed to go out of their way to screw up distribution and make it nigh on impossible for non-US collectors. The similarity is that neither line is being made by a company that understands how to build and keep going a collector focused line (and arguably don't see their lines as being such in any case).
Yep, did 5 Five Belows today, first one had 4 rows of Simpsons figures everything BUT Itchy and Scratchy, then the next 4 stores I hit had less and less. I may have to let the resellers win on this one.
I can't bring myself to pay an inflated price on this line. Similarly, I only have one Five Below within 15 minutes of my house and I'm not driving all over the place in search of a five dollar figure. I'll just hope they do more Scratchy figures in the future. It took me awhile to find Otto and Willie in wave one but eventually they were restocked. The smaller scale line definitely doesn't seem to get replenished like the 5" one though.
I'm surprised there have not been any playsets announced concurrent with the last two waves of 2.5in figures BUT we are getting two vehicles: the Family Car and Mr. Plow's Snowplow

Hell yeah for Mr. Plow. I'm still bummed Lego never did that one.

word on the street is Lego Simpsons are not dead and a Krusty Burger set (roughly the same size as the Simpsons House and Kwik-E-Mart) is supposedly coming out this year.
no idea what that means for any releases beyond that. might have to build your own snowplow and customize a Homer minifig until then.
I saw the Krusty Burger, which I'll have to get since I have the other two sets. They really messed up by not doing an Android's Dungeon, that would have been an easy sell. I get why they wouldn't want to do Moe's, though I would have compromised with an Uncle Moe's Family Feedbag. I bought a generic RV to go with the Simpsons stuff too as they sold one that looked almost exactly like the one Flanders bought.
according to non-US Amazon listings, here are some figures that ought to be coming to the 5in line
-Mr. Burns
-Grampa
-Edna Krabappel
-Troy McClure
-Ralph Wiggum
-King Kong Homer
-Hockey Bart
-Stupid Sexy Flanders
no pictures yet though
I've only gotten 5" Homer so far and I really like him. I just don't want a ton of figures from this line. If Grandpa and Ralph are actually coming out, I'd be very happy. They're probably the only other must buys for me.
I've mostly been focusing on the smaller line, since they've released more characters that I really like, but I'd pick up a couple from that lineup- Grampa, Ralph, Burns. I hope the distribution gets cleared up a little before then. With the 5 inch figures, I keep only seeing wave 1 & 2 restocks at Target- still haven't seen the Marge/Lenny wave anywhere but at Macy's. And with the 2 inch figures, all I've really managed to find is a butt ton of Kamp Krusty Barts. Macy's got in the wave after that with Skinner and crew, but never the wave before. Ralph and Comic Book Guy are two of my most wanted figs, but I've never seen them on the pegs. So, not entirely sure what's going on, but I hope they can get it cleared up. Or, at the very least, allow the figures to be ordered through their website or Amazon store page. I know you can get a couple through the Amazon page, but only the mainstays like Bart and Homer.
