Yeah, Blue Bart should have had a different head sculpt. I woulda picked him up for that alone, since swapping is possible.
I don't think they'll hurt the line though. I rarely see these guys at Targets, thought the holiday season has been hard on the aisles. Having a Bart out there regularly on the pegs will help get the casual consumers onboard. A Carl or a Barney hanging solo on the pegs won't excite as many folks.
images of a possible wave 4
according to this guy's channel, Wal-Mart will have a Bartman for the 2.5in line as well
Something brought to my attention is that the employee uniforms on the Krusty Burger set look odd. I can't find any images for these all white uniforms, but maybe they're from current seasons? Looks like the real life Krusty Burger at Universal theme parks is all white, but with an orange apron. Otherwise, they look like the uniforms for the short-lived IRS Burger in Bart the Fink which would be an amusing mix-up.
Went to target and walmrt to find Itchy & Scatchy but nothing, could be too early. those figures scale with the 5 inch versions, saw it on 'The Review Spot'........now he's a good toy reviewer

boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder (sorry, couldn't help it)
Blue overalls Krusty is from this Krusty Burger commercial, right?
I love that it's got the transparent wall from the grease. Even the bird that flew into it!
Yeah, the Krusty outfit is pulled right from the show, though he did have a hat for that scene. The worker uniforms for that scene were a pink t-shirt shirt and green baseball hat.
Sweet! I'll grab Skinner, Nelson, and Selma for sure. A bit iffy on Martin, but I'd grab him to go with the other kids and Skinner. That's the beauty of having a cheaper line- it feels less scary to take risks and get characters I'm not super wild about. With all the kids we've gotten/are getting, I hope they bring Willie and Otto over to the smaller line some time soon.
I just hope this means that Skinner and Chalmers are coming soon to the 5" line. Or, that we're getting a 2.5" Chalmers as a pack-in for a Steamed Hams play set. It's the easiest layup a toy producer is going to get, though maybe a grinning Skinner would be a better choice for such a set.
also looks like wave 3 ought to be available soon if not already
seeing as we are getting a Baseball Homer from 'Homer at Bat', are there any alternate versions of the main characters not in the Playmates line that you guys think would be good releases?
I can recall a few like Bigfoot Homer and Uncle Moe that were planned before the Playmates line ended. besides those, I'd love to see a Monorail Conductor Homer and Summer Cool Lisa.
@wickerbasket It's wild to think that Playmates never made a Monorail Homer, that's such a famous episode. Uncle Moe also feels like one of the most wanted versions of a secondary character that you could make. Was Playmates planning a version of the bar when it was Uncle Moe's Family Feedbag?
Summer of 4 Ft. 2 Lisa (is she called Summer Cool Lisa on merch now? I hadn't heard that) is my biggest want from this line, but Stupid Sexy Flanders needs to happen too.
My Never Gonna Happen dream here is them including some Bartkira figures.

Millhouse looks great. The bike is a cool world building accessory. I started laughing during the review just because of how funny Millhouse is and subsequently how funny the action figure is.
I may have missed it in this thread, but has anyone used the 2.5 kids with the 5 inch adults, or are they too small?

not as far as I know, just a single carded Uncle Moe, among others.

maybe she will be?

looking at this video from the same reviewer, I think they're too small. but your mileage may vary
