I've never seen the Defenders Lothar and Magician in stores, so I need to suck it up and order them online to complete that small group.
I'm ECSTATIC about the movie Flash figures coming, and desperately want a Timothy Dalton prince figure, and Ming's daughter.
I got in the Misfits Ultimate Fiend/Crimson Ghost today. It's okay. I prefer the action figure body to the retro cloth body (especially considering my Christmas Fiend's neck joint just deteriorated), but if I had the standard retro cloth version of this character I don't know that I'd need this. The candelabra and knives don't do much for me as they weren't something featured on classic Misfits releases. The tombstone almost looks like a 3D print, but it's fine. I wish the standard heads had more of a bone white finish instead of the muddled gray. The hands have the gloved look of a person in costume while NECA seemed to go with more of a realistic skull approach to the head and I don't like the contrast. I also don't like how low the head sits on the body. The little LPs are the best inclusion though, but if I can be allowed to put my fan boy hat on, I feel compelled to point that Horror Business should be smaller since it was a 7" release. I wish they had little records inside the jackets, especially translucent yellow for Horror Business, but these are fun. The body articulates okay. The knees suck, but he's probably going to just stand there for most people. To my surprise, I think I prefer the basic, Ultimates body, that Super7 created for its Papa Emeritus figure to this one by NECA.
If you're a hardcore Misfits fan, you've probably already grabbed this. If you have the other versions and are on the fence though, you may be content to skip this release and the inevitable red version to follow.

Fisherman (I know what you did last summer)
Crate monster, Father's Day zombie (Creepshow)
Hell yes, to these two.
One thing that really bummed me out about SDCC was that the only new The Thing figure they showed was just another MacReady. There's still so much I want to see from that movie and it's a little worrying that the Dog Thing is the only monster we even know of them doing after having the license for two or three years now. And in a couple of the walkthroughs I watched, it was bizarre to hear Blaine saying he thinks the Dog is a NECA Store exclusive when it's been available for pre-order on all the usual sites for a few months now.

I think they went with the more "realistic" skull look because the mask in the original Crimson Ghost serial had that kind of texture to it. Still, I agree...I'd probably have preferred the more classic look like the Retro cloth figure has, with a more bone white color.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed the issue with the Horror Business record! I'm curious...can he cross his arms to get the pose from Horror Business? I figure he probably doesn't, but it would be great if he did!
@thegillman not really. You can kind of fake that pose to a degree, but his arms can't reach that far across his chest to truly nail it.
i really wanna get the Misfits figure but i jsut have too much on my want list, smh.
Sidenote: this is my 100th post, i would like to thank the academy for all the support thru out the years 😝 😝 😝
@misfit That's pretty much what I expected. I'm still happy to get him, even though he has some issues!
I have had the Ultimate Fiend a few weeks now, I generally really like the way they made him. The eyes in particular are really well done. I still think he looks like a man in an oversized mask, but I understand why you guys would want the more basic white paint job. But for me, he's just going up on the horror shelf.
Sorry- I know this isn't technically the right place to post this, but since we don't have any trading/selling forums, just figured I'd ask here.
I have an extra NECA Street Scene diorama I'm looking to offload. Got it way back when with the intention of using it for a display, but never got around to opening it, and it's just sitting in the box. Is there still a demand for these things, and if so, what do ya'll think it would go for?
I looked on ebay, of couse, but it all varied quite wildly, and I wasn't aware there were different kinds. Mine is just the regular version.
Thanks, all! Feel free to delete/move/whatever if need be.
Can anyone advise on where the NECA/Universal copyright is located on this figure? I can seem to find it with no problem on all my other NECA's, but there's no trace of it on the Creature. Hmm, I am wondering since I got it at a VERY good price from a US-based seller on eBay, possible knockoff, possibly? The figure seems like top quality NECA and the box has all the appropriate stuff on it. Thanks.
@joshsquash729 Where are you located? I never got the Street Scene but was tempted a few times. I'm actually more tempted by the cartoon version and may order it when it's offered again. If you're in L.A. (or SoCal), I may be interested. Regarding selling it online. I haven't looked at the aftermarket pricing, but I imagine shipping costs for it may scare away people. It does seem to be available for preorder at BBTS for $115, and their shipping costs are so low, you may have a hard time selling it. Unless you can do it locally.
And does the new Fwoosh not have private messaging? I can't figure it out, if it's available.
@super-cracked Has there been any knockoff NECA stuff other than the movie TMNT turtles? I don't remember any being mentioned. Although the Batman vs Alien set can still be found. I imagine those must be knockoffs.

No. At least not right now.
I'm sincerely hoping that by seeing the Miner in Ultimate form that means we see some other Retro or Toony only licenses make it over there:
- Teen Wolf
- Hatchet
- They Live
- Candyman
- Re-Animator
