I dislike statues, so I hope the game of thrones figures have articulation, at the very least the same as the previous figures. I honestly don't need double elbows or knees for most figures, and I feel like the previous wave had nice enough joints with more sculpt and paint than newer figures.

Some characters are OK for statues, others need to be articulated figures.  I've never seen any of the GoT shows but I imagine those need to be articulated, something along the lines of the DST LotR stuff.  I love my Amazon Fallout figures, er statues, but those needed to be figures.  I just did a deliver-to-store at Best Buy and picked up The Dude Lebowski.  That's fine as a statue.  He just needs to stand there holding a beverage!

McFarlane revealed some little collector boxes for House of the Dragon and Game of Thrones. Interesting concept- a small character bust, small figurine of the character, a family tree/map of Westeros, a bookmark, double sided coin, and a character card. For $30, it's not terrrrible- I wouldn't assume it's super good quality- the bust and figurine are probably plastic, and who knows how the paint will be on the small figurine. Depending on how they turn out, I may pick up at least the Jon Snow one. I'd pick up a Tyrion and maybe a Daenerys too if he ever gets around to making them. It's still odd that Todd has SO many different scales and styles going on across all his properties. It's nice to have some differentiation, but consistency would be nice too.

I’m pretty sure I saw that more 6” figures for Game of Thrones are on the way from McFarlane Toys as well. The four from a few years back were great. I hope they will keep the line going for a bit.

Oh wait, I take that back! They are 7” and from DST!

I don't understand how they're not making more figures. These knickknacks are a terrible choice imo. If he want's to do miniatures then do miniatures in a set scale, maybe even make some for painting. Or if you're gonna make figures, then make articulated figures! But these? Who wanted something like this?

I'll forever be bummed that McFarlane's first stab at GoT figures ended so abysmally. I quite liked them, and still have them- I never had any QC issues myself. I'm glad we got the characters we did, but even if they were just wanting to do the main-est of main characters and call it quits, the lack of Tyrion was really a bummer. The old Funko Legacy one scales pretty well with them, luckily, so I have the main cast all together, but GoT has so many great supporting characters that would've been great to finally have in articulated form.

Todd does what Todd wants.  I think there's probably a college business course somewhere where they try to understand his choices!

Sculpts and soft goods look fairly good, wonder what kinda body Ichigo has under the robe. Weirdl that they gave him wrists with no hinges.

They look good. I wish they would have done cloth kimonos for Demon Slayer.

Man.... the pictures of these Movie Maniacs from Red One are super frustrating for me.     I HATE that they are freaking statues.     I would LOVE a 1/10th scale figure of Elf so freaking bad.    I am such a mark for any figure of polar bears -  but anthropomorphic Polar Bears?    Are you kidding?     I would buy up that figure SO fast.

Frankly, the Krampus "figure" he showed off is really nice too and I would pick that up if it were an actual action figure and not a statue.

Even the likeness of the Rock is pretty dead on, and the Santa Claus sculpt isn't too shabby -  though the FMF have me pretty Santa Claus-ed out.

But I cannot express my disappointment that Elf is not an articulated action figure and is instead a statue... err, excuse me a   "posed figure".    Sigh

Yeah, I really don’t get what McFarlane is doing with these movie maniacs figures - especially when they do a full line from a movie. The original iteration was for one off figures or maybe a pair of figures (Terminators). This could have just been articulated Red One figures. Will probably pick up Krampus when these hit clearance to add to the Krampussen collection that’s been growing over the last few year.

But an articulated Krampus would be better.  And that's why this is a weird choice.   Like the movie doesn't even have to be remotely good -  but action figures of a big ol' Polar Bear Elf commando, Krampus, Santa Claus, and the Rock will probably sell anyway?

Normally I'd be happy to have a figure line that saved me money by not doing things that made me want to buy it.... but I really,  really love Bear action figures -   and I know I should be satisfied that Hasbro is making a Polar Bear for G.I. Joe and there's the upcoming Bear mount in Mythic Legions and that's all well and good -  but this guy's a bit more anthropormorphic and would scratch a different itch - if only he weren't a statue.

That new leak list has a Movie Maniacs Jaws on it! I wonder what the size is going to be and what scene it's going to come from.
