Totally depends on your preference, but if this one is indeed 50.8 cm, that's gonna be 20 inches. It's intended as a mount, I suppose. There's also the Beasts of the Mesozoic smilodon from Creative Beast Studios if your tastes lean more towards realism.
Oh yeah, and this one's likely coming with armor.
So, I'm totally going to get the Black colored Smilodon from BotM... and I've already assembled Zabu.... but I will absolutely buy this gorgeous creature. Honestly I hope he's purchasable plain like that and not super adorned with a bunch of gaudy armor that I would just want to strip off and get rid of. But that sculpt is stunning.
Are there more details about when and how that will be available? I am a sucker for big cats, man.

As far as plain vs. armored, it's hard to say. Fury has leaned towards selling base figures with "upgrade" packs the last couple releases (see: Monkey King in two versions and the not-Michelangelo with modern accessories pack), but we'll see!

Honestly, a lot of this Chinese stuff is what's floating my boat more than anything else I collect these days. waileong's account is more of an overall thing, but Fury Toys' stuff specifically is some of my favorite. And it's worth following 5K Toys' Instagram if you don't already, they post previews of similar stuff and of course let you know when you can actually order it.
And the designer for Fury has a Bilibili (Chinese social media) page where he posts videos of his figures. The cat just went up today, and contains more images than just the four from the tweet:

I backed the regular Beasts Smiley, and have the page for the black one open in a tab to mull over, but I am also really tempted by this one.
I'm getting the regular and black Beasts ones for the side of me that is all about scientific accuracy, and this Fury one for the side of me that loves Fury's style and for a more giant/fantastical take. And probably somehow I'm gonna pretend it's involved with their TMNT stuff like I plan to do with their other offerings. 🙂

The tail is in pieces now due to prototype making issue but will be complete with ironline inside for the final product
All joint holes will be removed in the final product also.
Armor part will be on soon.
Several colors variant and related animal like lions, panther is scheduled even flying lion in design
I'll definitely take one of those in panther.
Also reminds me I need to get an order in for that YFAT Griffon. Hoping the articulation works fairly well, I'd love to be able to scoop the neck down into a straighter position.
I love mounts. Glad to have so many options coming out over the next couple years
