For this latest wave, the only thing that appeals to me are the Frost Ogres, and that's only because I can pass them off as Frost Giants in my Asgardian display.
The Rising Sons wave is where I went a bit nuts. The Viking aspect got me good. Didn't order a Bödvar (no room for a giant bear on my shelves), but I got multiples of basically everything else except Attlus 2.
Also pre-ordered three of the "Undead of Vikenfell" figures as well as Thorasis and Skalli Bonesplitter. Always happy to bolster Hela's forces.
But yeah, all this stuff is through BBTS for many of the above-stated reasons.
After a few weeks of consideration, I talked myself out of getting the golden skeleton. I think having a few skeletons in unique colors can add more visual interest to an army of the dead, but too many colors and they start to look like a Super Sentai team.
The goblin two-pack was an easy purchase. All of those new and rare parts will give my current gobbos more distinctive looks. I would really love that goblin pig head if I didn't keep my boarrior on the same shelf. Seeing the two heads next to each other might, uh... raise some questions. I guess in a fantasy world of half-orcs and half-elves, there can be half-goblins, right?
Really dragging my feet on which ones to buy in this wave. I objectively like almost everyone in it, but I can't really do a nearly $500 pre-paid preorder right now. I think I'll end up with K'ai, the goblins, and maybe the blue knight for now only, and overpay through BBTS if I have regrets later. Giving myself a limit of $200 for the preorder even if I end up changing my mind. I'm realizing I struggle to find room on the shelf for the existing centaur even though I love him, and the ogres can be tough to find room for too, so holding off and just getting folks I know will fit might be the way I go this time.
Hard to limit myself with this wave. I ended up getting two white knights, two blue shield knights, the frost ogre, and the winged golden skeleton. But the whole wave looks cool.
Question for you veteran Mythic Legions collectors. Do 4 Horsemen partner stores ever run these 20% off like they do the cosmic legions?
@justice they have in the past, last year they put select in stock legions on sale (The retailer appreciation figures, cosmic wave 2, and pre-orders were excluded.) so it’s entirely possible they might do it again… I’m hoping to pick up the Djinn and Poxxus if they do.
@doc-baghead good to know, thanks. Now that I have broken the seal on the Cosmic Legions line with this sale it has made me check out some of the in stock Mythic Legions on BBTS and I'm feeling the itch....
I only ordered the blue Starcraft-looking Space Marine specifically for that reason. If they made a green one I'd probably get that one too. But I'm limiting myself to only a few of this line. And I wish they came with bigger guns rather than mining equipment, but the sidearms will do until I source others. I like the big bubble dome, but would prefer more human looking faces.
To celebrate 25 years of Four Horsemen, the crew announced a new bare-bones skeleton legion builder that will drop in an in-stock sale this Friday, July 26th. I'm going to hold out for the Necronominus wave that should be shipping from China in another month or two, but I might be tempted to pick up some new skeleton arms on the grey market so my skelly commander can finally get a proper two-handed grip on his buster sword.
Oh man! Now I have to decide if I want to replace my Storm Collectibles skeletons with these.
I love me some Skeles so I might grab 2 or 3 of these.
So 4H finally got to the $36 action figure shipped. I’ll buy one. I have the grim reaper guy which is much like this. I got the bone monster. I have four bone squad members. I like my three FWOOSH skeletons. Couple Viking skeletons coming. One should be enough. I didn’t get a Valiant Knight so if that’s available too…I’ll get one of each.
Thwipp!
I have one of the Viking Skeletons on preorder, but thinking about getting two of these skeletons too.
That being said, I see they're offering the Legions of Arethyr wave as an All-In, but I only want Arethyr and Aethon. I don't want the entire wave, so I'll pass and try to find the two elsewhere on eBay or whatever.

Just a heads up: They're a brighter white color than what Mythic Skeletons are usually colored, so the arms probably won’t match.
