The interface isn't the best but, YouTube? That's like saying I can't find a date so I'm just going to cruise the local gloryholes.

I definitely joined in 2003 but can't remember the date. I must have a screenshot with that information saved somewhere!

This got a chuckle out of me, and I completely agree. I did a little more browsing on the reddit figure forums while Fwoosh was down, but boy did I hate it. Even if Fwoosh gets downgraded to a text chain I'm hanging on all the way.

I don’t remember when I started posting on Fwoosh Forum (Around time of Classic Spider-Man and Legends?). I know for sure that I had no idea of the inner workings then and honestly now. Robokilla was a talented customizer and Veebs had another handle… my memory is terrible… but he was the most knowledgeable fellow. Just knew stuff about everything. He chimed in sharing his toy love. The green background videos on YouTube was when I started realizing Robo was more than just a poster on the Fwoosh. I’ve just enjoyed spending hours and hours conversing with people I didn’t know really but their opinions lit the fires. The creativity on the Fwoosh fed my creative soul. I don’t like change. Change rattles me. I guess I’ve got better understanding its importance. Robo and Veebs I hope the change gives them what they seek. This forum is special. Thanks to all who kept it going and continue to maintain a place I love coming to.

Thwipp!

I joined in 2020? 2021? I don't remember. But Robo and Veebs were the face of the youtube channel for me, and the youtube is what inevitably drove me to joining the forums. But over time, and with frequent posting, the faces I see around here became the faces of "The Fwoosh" to me.

Crazy that people first joined the forums when I was still in diapers.

I joined a few months after RTM went away. No idea when that was.

I’m not looking for a relationship, and at today’s prices, I can’t afford to hire a pro AND buy toys, so as long as I wear a condom and keep my shots up to date, I should be fine. 😉

I don't know how long I've been here but we're probably talking a good 15-20 years.

I met my wife on a free dating site.  Been married 10 years and have two beautiful girls.

I've occasionally commented on youtube videos and no one has ever responded to anything I say.  It's like talking into a void.  (I did ask a question of one pretty prominent youtuber on FB one time and got a very condescending response which pretty much confirmed what I already guessed about the guy).

I can relate, even with my experience with TheFwoosh (being here for over fifteen years). In my case, just not the type to form really close knit online friendships, I guess.

Personally I can't say "close knit", but there's people here on the fwoosh who are regulars and who are good people.  Personally it helps me just by glancing at the avatars so I have a general sense of who's saying what and it's mostly the same folk and I have a general sense of everyone's personalities and who they are.  I'd never be able to keep all that straight on youtube.  It is a bummer that PMs no longer exist here because it keeps you from interacting more personally with anyone if need be.

I wish the best for these guys and thank them for their hard work making this is a fun place to "play" as adult collectors. I know I was ornery when Mattel went hard on reuse and Hasbro destroyed Marvel Legends - this place was a place to vent during those days!  Usually t's been a place to celebrate some great comic book toylines and probably have a small part influencing toymakers.  I also think this place had some of the most knowledgeable and articulate members in the community.

I hope those 2 continue their passion successfully! I enjoy watching VEEBS interviews with Trevor from NECA about all their TMNT product.  Transformers gets nearly all my toy budget anymore, but I have some NECA offerings and if I can't afford them (now) I really have fun watching them have fun discussing and showing off the line!

I've searched almost weekly for months... In Robo's list of Patrons is "Kaylee, we love you and just want you to come home." Does anybody have info on what this is about? If it's an actual missing person I would think it should be so easier to find out more of the story.
