Straight to BK without a KS?  Okay, then; never seen that happen before.

While all these Pleistocene proboscids make fun skeletons and models in museums, they don't appeal to me as toys. However, I still hope this preorder goes really well because I'd love to see some terror birds down the line.

The BK is up and running, but with only the Mammoth and Child up so far.

Yipes, $200 for the big mammoth. I don't think this is gonna be for me.

I'm with Runestonecowboy, I appreciate what they're doing but nothing they've shown has really grabbed me. Maybe if we get a giant sloth or the glyptodont? I've always liked prehistoric mammals but I'm now realizing that I don't need them as toys.

Other than the pair of sabretooth tigers I have coming, anyway.

I want as many species of extinct animals as they're willing to make, but I gotta say the prices are getting to be quite a pill to swallow.  Mammoths are too iconic a species for me to skip though, and I've always been fond of the various weirdo elephant types from prehistory.  Guess that's why I worked a full day of overtime on Saturday.  Or something.

They also put up a new add-on/tier today: a 1/35 scale mammoth for $55.

A decent update laying out a little bit about the financial realities of these projects and the toy business.  It can be frustrating seeing comments from folks who aren't as steeped in the hobby as some not really seeming to get what has to go into these things.  I saw some folks confused that they hadn't show the other figures yet cuz they thought the initial funding goal was going to pay for ALL of the possible figures.  The tooling costs alone for just the initial offerings are approaching 90% of the total ask here.

The mammoth Backerkit crowdfund has now added a split payment option.  Four monthly payments with no extra charge.

Best hurry up and pledge for one of these to add to your Mortal Kombat collection, in celebration of Sub-Zero's new Animality in the MK1 Khaos Reigns DLC release! 🙂

The Mammoths campaign has reached its goal.  Doubtful it hits any of the stretch goal items, but looks like the adult and baby mammoths are a lock now.  And the smaller 1/35 scale adult, of course.
