Overall thread for BttF, including NECA, Super7, and the Tomy Kickstarter.

The KS for the Delorean closed a week or two ago, so I was charged. They came short of the second stretch goal, but awarded backers the accessory anyway: flaming tracks! I wanted those pretty badly, so I'm glad they came through. I think delivery is around winter 2024.

Not yet, I think there's a show this weekend where it'll be on display.  Preternia is guessing 1/32, he says based on the size of other Chogokin stuff.

Article on the BTTF train:

https://news.yahoo.co.jp/articles/1616078ee9ee7409eaff624b62ad333763455705

Google's translation:

The "Super Alloy TIME TRAIN (tentative title)", which will be released under the "Super Alloy" brand, was exhibited at the Akihabara UDX venue of "TAMASHII NATION 2024", which will be held from November 15th. It is a three-dimensional replica of the time machine, a modified steam locomotive, that appeared in the final scene of "Back to the Future Part III". [Photo] "Super Alloy TIME TRAIN (tentative title)" exhibition corner. This corner was filled with a classical sci-fi atmosphere. The theatrical film "Back to the Future" (hereinafter referred to as BTTF), directed by Robert Zemeckis, will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2025. The TIME TRAIN is currently being planned as a product to commemorate this. It is a time machine based on a steam locomotive that was built by Dr. Emmett Brown, also known as "Doc", who remained in the world of 1885 in the third film in the series, "Back to the Future Part III", in order to be reunited with Marty McFly, who returned to 1985. Compared to the Delorean time machine, which is the symbol of the series, it only appears for about the last two and a half minutes of "Part 3", but its impact is great, and many fans, including myself, will have it engraved in their memories. The project started when Universal Studios Japan proposed a product plan for the 40th anniversary of BTTF, according to the person in charge. As for BTTF-related products, many companies have released three-dimensional Delorean time machines, so they chose a steam locomotive time machine, which is memorable but has not been commercialized much until now.In accordance with the concept of the Chogokin series, the design is reproduced precisely, but it is designed so that users can hold it in their hands and play with it. The design of each part, which was expressed in great detail in the movie, has been carefully designed to be made of parts that are not easily broken by touching them. Of course, there are plans to include movable gimmicks, and a gimmick to transform into a flying state is also under consideration. The size is about 50 cm in length, the same scale as O gauge model trains. As there are no specific reference materials, the design was based on scenes from the film, official books, a replica of the time machine at Universal Studios Florida, still photographs, and other references. Particular attention was paid to the nozzle at the rear, which is the rear shot that concludes the series. As this is only an exhibition at the planning stage, specific specifications will be revealed in the future. The person in charge promised that development will continue so that the product will be packed with attention to detail befitting the 40th anniversary of BTTF next year. (C) 1990 Universal Studios. Sorry to get anyone's hopes up, just anticipating the arrival of my DeLorean from Tomy tomorrow.  Lucky it's coming on my day off too!

@cmoney, thanks for posting, I didn't realize I should be on the look out.  I haven't seen an email, but the UPS site says mine is coming Monday.

Do you need some kind of account with UPS to just check their website? I only ever use their site if a tracking number is already provided...

I think you need the account.  I get notified whenever there's a package in transit to my address.  Same thing with FedEx.
