@red_ogre That's kind of my plan, too. I have a really nice photography setup (used to do portraits/real estate/wedding photography) but I'm too lazy to set up a full lighting kit anymore. Just want to doodle on my phone for fun once in a while and the Joes line is so photogenic.
Random question for other photographers - I've actually been a full-time, pro photographer, but for years I used to love just doing quick action figure photos using pre-AI apps like Prisma to do a quick and dirty dramatic lighting setup and snap a few action figure photography pics to throw on insta a few times a week so I didn't have to get my entire pro kit out. I didn't do any shoots for a few years and now I don't trust any of the apps anymore. Is there one you like and trust you'd recommend? basically I'm just looking for an iPhone app I can slap a funky blur effect or cartoon filter on here and there when I don't want to take out the SLR.
I still love doing real lighting setups with Extreme Sets backdrops and all that, but sometimes I just want to throw on a harsh single light, take some dramatic poses, and then slap a fun filter on the pics so I can post and play on social media a few times a week when I'm short on time.
For me personally. I like to use traditional lighting (Aputure LED lights) & physical dioramas. I only use apps for post effects. But I understand 3rd party dios are not cheap. I use a iPhone 14 Pro Max. I do think lighting is the key.

Watched your interview with The Full Force. Great to hear how you came to the job and what goes on with some of your process. Also funny to hear how we the fandom have turned almost every photo into some kind of tease even when it isn't meant to be a tease.
