Ultimates Storm Shadow V2 seems to have gone over like a wet fart

Pictures of Super7’s O-Ring Reaction+ GI Joe figures are starting to show up now. Looks like they are going to be great!

I’m probably in for a BAT. I’ll have to see outside that.

Thwipp!

@bgiles73 I'm going to hold off my excitement until I see the final product, but I can picture myself wasting a lot of money on these figures.  I probably wouldn't be interested in a suited Tomax and Xamot pack, but the throw back package will likely get me to buy it.

I’m really hoping for these O-Ring Style Reaction+ figures carry’s over to some of Super7’s other licenses.

The thought of 80s GI Joe style Thundercats, TMNT, Star Trek, D&D, Conan etc really hits all my nostalgia buttons! If that also leads to vehicles and play sets this can’t go wrong.

Now Super7 just needs to get back the license for Alien because I really need a squad of GI Joe style Colonial Marines and some Xenomorphs!

So it is interesting they are sticking with the ReAction branding (with the O+ which is cute).   Will they expand to other brands, or is it (most likely) just for Joe?  Glad to see they are sticking to the $20US price point.

Anyway some interesting selections:

Cobra Commander.   I'm kind of burnt out on CC right now so not too exciting to me.

Cover Girl.  Love the long, blonde, hair look.  Nice to get this selection in O-Ring.  Funny to see because it does kind of come off as "hey we added articulation to our O-ring mold."

Snake-Eyes.   I really thought they were going to do the Sunbow purple, or Sunbow V1.  So nice to see the black with grey visor.

BAT.   So like Cover Girl just an O-ring version of something they already did (Ultimates).   I'm sure it will look good, and I'll probably get one, but not the most exciting to me.

THE TWINS!!!!!!!!!!!! I love this set!!!  Getting them on the classic cardback in their EE business suits??  Yes please.   Glad for you guys in the US that this is a Target exclusive.  It should mean lots of quantities and most likely on sale (it is Target after all).  Looks great already and I hope it is easy to acquire in Canada (probably a TRU exclusive).

I also like the Super Cyborg SNAKE Armour repaint.   The Escape Armour with Red Shadow is a great repaint and I love that they used the old English spelling for Armour.  Not for me though due to the size, but hey if they do an O-Ring version I'm in.

I watched "The Full Force" podcast.  Their latest episode covers the reveals.  Also Toyhabits had pics as well both on their website and during their latest episode on Youtube.

The finish will determine how hard I go in for these but so far they’re looking great, and at $20 they’re right in the sweet spot IMO.  The character selection is a little weird to launch the line but there are a few solid choices there.

I too am curious to see if any of their other licenses get the o-ring treatment.  TMNT would be really interesting.

I'd buy Dungeons and Dragons animated series o-ring figures.  I'm so starved for figures from that show over the years that I will buy about anything they put out except for POPs.

So... they dropped a couple of new Ultimates comiccon exclusives today... there's a robed Zartan I don't care about, and then one called Cobra Mortal which looks really cool to me.   It's like a weird Snake Eyes repaint with crazy colors and cobra markings but I find it super appealing for some reason.   I'll see it up close at the show, but may not be able to resist it.

Cobra Mortal was an international release I believe.  There were some really cool repaints of the vintage designs, many of which are some of the most expensive/collectible figures today.  Super7 is smart to lean on those designs, they appeal to OG collectors while simultaneously being a super easy and cheap repaint.  I've got their Red Laser ReAction figure and I dig how I can fudge it into my o-ring display.

Yeah...  there's just something super enticing about the color scheme.   I decided not to pick up Super7 Joe's at all and stick to Classified -   but I think I'll grab this guy when I'm in San Diego, he's just cool looking.

Target seems to be having a sale.

and did they go up in price? I was sure they were $19.99 once

Yet no one here seems to care anything at all for these.

They have been here for at least a month almost falling off the pegs.

Target might as well return them to Super7 for credit for the Reaction+ line.
