So the Cobra Mothership has only added 13 backers since the last time I did an update (8 days ago).

I don't know if the counter is busted on the website, or if it just isn't being backed, but either way this is a terrible pace.  I know Super7 charges up front for their crowdfunds so I'm sure there are a bunch of backers waiting until the end, but it just makes the final days even harder to fund.

Welll another week and more of the same.

1,431 / 4,000 (+4) 35.78% of funding goal with 30d 18h left.

4 !!??!! That's it for a whole week!!?? I get that they charge up front and there is still a month left. But c'mon this should be doing much better than this. Yikes!!!

So I haven't looked in awhile and... two weeks since canprime's post and they've added 12 backers?!?!  It's at 1443 right now.  That is insane.  I get that it's expensive and Super7 is a pretty questionable company but I'd have never guessed it would do this poorly.

Looks like as part of a last push, they're announcing a new O-Ring line to debut next year, and moving the tier 3 figure to core offering.

I like the O-Ring stuff. Especially the Transformers crossovers -- those have been super fun. Not sure if that will get the mothership over the line though.

Anyone here ever buy the Super7 GI Joe trading cards? None of the Joe podcasts ever talk about it or any subsequent print runs.

Can't wait to see which characters are coming in their o-ring first waves. I hope they're not too expensive.

Entertainment Earth has Ultimate Joes for $11.  I don't collect this line but I'm tempted to try one out at that price.

Agreed! They had Cobra Commander, Duke, Snake Eyes and the BATS for $10.99 each. Cobra Commander was already sold out before I got there but I ordered able to Duke, Snake Eyes and 5 BATS.

Man, I saw that sale (though CC was already sold out) and STILL couldn't pull the trigger.  They're definitely worth $11 but I don't need to start another collection and I know wave 2 is real questionable.  That's how little faith I have in Super7 I guess, I don't even buy their good stuff for $11.

Speaking of not buying, I guess the Mothership didn't make it huh?  I'm seeing on the socials that the final backer count was only around 1500.  That's nuts, but I guess that's what you get when you try to release a $600 super niche toy around Christmas after years of releasing poor product.

@mikeysee yikes, that wasn't even close, was it? That's pretty embarrassing for Super7. I mostly think they underestimated how many Joe fans were longing for a Cobra Mothership for their O-Ring figures (and I can't imagine there are many who actually want it for ReAction) and their O-Ring announcement was too little too late. Plus, with the issues the Ultimates line has faced of late, I think consumer confidence is at an all-time low with Super7. Definitely way too low to shell out around 600 bucks for this thing.

On the topic of the mother ship, im a big super7 fan, i like them. the thing that i dont like from them is the undersized (most of them, not all thou) reaction figures that they make. the failure of the mothership could be due to collectors not buying the reactions anymore. I knew it wasnt gonna happen.

Probably a combination of too big, too expensive, too obscure, and some having some personal vendetta against the Super7 big boss. A more normal vehicle from the ARAH cartoon would surely do better... if also built to accommodate 4" too.

These look great together. Excellent job on the custom Shipwreck and Dusty. Shipwreck is my number one want from this line. Waiting for fulfillment on Scarlett and Storm Shadow from BBTS.
