Snake-Eyes is my POL and I'm not liking what I'm seeing so far in the small sample of YouTube videos that are up. Is it just me or is that applique far different than what was show in photos? To me, it's a severe downgrade that shouldn't be written off as "prototypes may vary..."

Agreed, it just does not look great and i have no idea what is going on with that outfit.
Yeah, the applique looks far more simpler than what their promo shots showed.
Worst part is that fake snake eyes they made with the literal snake head looks so much better.
Not a massive fan of this Snake Eyes and Timber, the first miss in the line for me.

I ended up canceling from my POL. It'll feel a little strange not having a Snake-Eyes with the other figures.
Timber's teeth and mouth area look weird to me. His snarl looks a bit too gummy and also the teeth and gum shape in general just looks a bit disjointed and off.
So far Destro is the only one from the figures released so far I like, and even then I would have preferred Mezco do version 2. Roadblock isn't bad, but since this are obviously going to be paired with classified he is just too short compared with the other larger figures. Stormshadow didn't exactly blow me away in the pictures, and Duke was an instant NOPE. Firefly did look pretty good.
Yeah, I like Firefly and I think Stormshadow is reasonable.
I like Duke's accessories but his outfit looks old and his head sculpts aren't really that pleasant to look at for some reason. He just seems angry and ugly to me. He would look ok if he was one of the villains I feel, as you expect them to be a bit more brutish.
Ok maybe I was wrong about Stormshadow, he looks amazing.
So, I'm not a GI Joe fan by any stretch: I have no attachment to the property, and never saw the shows, or the recent movies, or read any of the books...but I've always loved the looks of Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow. The Sigma 6 figures were two of my favorite toys when I was a kid, and I played with them constantly 😆 I also had a 5 pack of 3 3/4" ninjas that came with a little battleground display, and I loved those: they were good stand-ins for Mortal Kombat figures before there were any decent ones out there.
Decided to grab the new Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, because they just look like they'll be a ton of fun to pose and mess around with. Thinking I'll pop them next to the NECA TMNT figures on my indie comics shelf. Pretty excited for these two!

I remember having a walkie talkie with a Morse code button 😀 . Bringing back the memories, I think it was these or possibly a Fisher Price branded set.
