Got 1 of my 2 hiss tanks today. Dunno whats up with the other one.
anxiety: engaged 🤖
Edit:
Nvm. After paying closer attention, it shows differ track#
How much does each Hisstank weigh? FedEX delayed my package, they say it's a 10lb package and I ordered two. It says "Total Pieces: 1" so I imagine that means I only have shipping info on one of them?

Yeah, that's only one of them. I only have one coming, and it's also showing 10 pounds.
My HISSes each had their own tracking numbers. Delivery guy did two trips to my porch, and I had to sign.
I almost feel bad dumping all of the packaging. It's a very well put together presentation, but I just don't have space to keep empty packaging. I also don't think I'm gonna open up CoCo just yet. I kinda hoping a Retro CoCo is announced soon, but we'll see.
My tank is supposed to arrive in the next day or so. It's funny, I didn't know where to put the Galactus so that Haslab is still in storage in my studio (great figure, no regrets, just... nowhere to display him and I'm lucky enough to have room for the protective packaging for now) but the tank is probably coming out of the box ASAP. It's a reasonably displayable size and I can find a home for it so much easier. I'm legit anxious/psyched to see it.
I know, I KNOW I should keep CC in the packaging but I am such a weak-willed collector when it comes to these things. I just want to tinker with the purchase. Maybe I'll hold off a few months and see if they announce a non-special edition one so I can keep the value of the Haslab one.
I've got to get better about getting rid of packaging. I have jut hit max capacity for the cardboard footlockers and have to admit to myself its time to recycle them. I end up storing each figure's gear in a ziplock because the clips and pistols can be so easily lost, so I'm not using the lockers anyway.
I agree about Duke's shirt. That's the lone drawback of what is an otherwise amazing figure.
I don't want it to be as marigold as the Super 7 version, but a bit tanner would be nice. This looks to be more of a dirty white.
I don’t feel the need to open Coco either. He looks pretty cool in the package. I’m perfectly willing to wait for the eventual normal retail release.
Looking at the Hiss more, I kinda wish I could have gotten another but I don’t want to pay the full price. Maybe down the line, the Joe team can release the Hiss again in a more bare bones version. Something that can make the vehicle at least $150. Maybe gut the electronics, just one figure(Driver?) or no figure, no extra canopy, no stickers, no side missle launchers, no extra turret guns, etc.
Spent the afternoon pulling out the HISS.
I’m not trying to start a beef here. It made me scratch my head when Lenny pointed it out in the unboxing video…
Semper Fidelis on the box artwork. I know it’s sacred to the Marines. I also know it being Latin has been used by many in Western culture. But “Always Faithful” branded on a group which is not poster organization of faithfulness. I get it. Cobra Commander is an asshole. He sees nothing as sacred but things to use for his own means.
It’s a very strange move for Hasbro.
I like the HISS quite a bit. It’s definitely a beefy and sporty tank. There’s some odd choices for sure. There are some really awesome choices. All in all. I really like it. I hope Hasbro finds a way to get maybe a stripped down option for $100-150. Granted they made loads so it will be purchasable for years.
Thwipp!

Don't forget the bottom text, Serpens, so roughly Always Faithful to the Snake(Cobra). So not too odd for a massive paramilitary international terrorist group.
I suppose. The humor that comes from the irony is there.
Vivat Colubra is roughly Long live Cobra.
I think they could have chosen a better Latin phrase.
Eh. I don’t think those who employ the phrase regularly are put out by this throw away ironic use.
I like the box art quite a bit! It’s a treat to look over. I’ll keep it for a while then decide its fate when space becomes an issue.
Thwipp!
Watching all the unboxing videos has me excited for mine to show up. I'm hoping the Canadian allotment starts showing up soon. I would be bummed if we have to wait until the new year for ours to start shipping.
As others have said, there is a 100% chance (ok I don't know anything but c'mon) that the Mickey Mouse CoCo will get a regular retail release without the Mickey Mouse logo. So if you are on the fence, just wait. If you don't care...what are you waiting for? Open that figure up!!
To the people talking about a stripped down HISS for retail. I don't know that they will ever do that, at least in the next 5-10 years. The Haslab model has been fairly specific in what they offer. As part of that they have not made any of the molds available for other use to date. Yes some of the characters/vehicles have shown up at retail, but they have all been different molds/scales than the Haslab.
I imagine part of that is due to not wanting to dilute the Haslab brand and sales. If you could get a Haslab mold at retail, even one that is "stripped down," that would possibly be a negative for future sales. At least that is what I think Hasbro's current thinking is on the matter. And for projects like Haslab where some have not sold as well as they would have hoped, I don't think they want the precedent of "wait for the retail release" on Haslabs.
I can wait a few years for a stripped down Hiss.
Heck, I’d even take the original 80s Hiss mold with some tweaks and upscale it for Classifieds.
There's no chance they're going to do a retail version of this. Keep dreaming!
I decided I didn't want all of those nifty accessories just sitting in the box, so I outfitted my HISS with all the extra artillery and armor. It's so sick. I also opened that tactician (not technician), but I'm keeping CoCo carded. I've gotta clear off room from the shelf I've got the Turtle Van displayed on to make a mixed display of all the massive vehicles I'm now collecting. I've got the Keaton Batmobile stuck in my attic, and in a year or so, the Tomy Delorean to join. Eventually I've gotta make a dedicated Classified display space, a shelf for Joe, a shelf for Cobra. At the moment. NECA Toon TMNT will have to vacate unfortunately.
@leor I would be absolutely pleased with an upscaled 1/18 HISS. I mean, the HasLab looks great, but it's a lot more than I need for a lot more money than I want to spend right now. Especially since it'd end up in a box in six months or less since I have no realistic place to put it where it won't get super dusty.

Enh. Maybe not. But never say never.
