@docsilence Well they are pre-orders so no money should be collected anytime soon.
If it makes you feel any better, 98% of the stuff people find at remarkable discount I paid full price for.
Same. 🙁
Gorgeous figures. Still the best domestic action figure line for the price even if you aren't getting any of these wild sales. I couldn't even tell you my favorite figure from today's lineup, it's like a 6-way tie.
Glad the new windowed boxes are keeping the spines with the art and the figure number underneath, they look great on a shelf this way.
I agree that they all look great — but I really wouldn't mind if they offered a head for Airborne with a sculpted on helmet similar to his OG look. The removable googles and helmet look a bit awkward and kind of bring a highly anticipated figure down a bit for me.
It's funny, Tiger Force Recondo is one of the few figures who has never been in storage, not sure why I like him so much but he just kinda lives on the desk in front of me. Love that they're releasing the classic look cos I like that even better than the Tiger Force version.
BBTS has the Infantry Soldier for $10 less than Pulse. I'm assuming they'll fix it but here's hoping they don't adjust the POs that have been put in already, haha. Anyway, I ordered all of them, but I'm mostly excited for Big Boa and Quick Kick in particular.
My experience with BBTS is that they usually honor the price that you placed your order at. They've since increased their price, but the price on my pre-order is the same as when I purchased it. I went ahead and placed pre-orders for 2 of each at EE because they're still showing the $24.99 price on those 2.
Tiger Force Recondo looks more interesting to me, than the new one. New one is too beige for my liking.
Man those action soldier and sailor are so fucking cool, but i just can't justify un-named generic army builders at 35 dollars, even if the amount of accessories more than justifies the price.
So... with these 3 retro announces - does that bring us to 11 total on the retro card backs so far? Am I forgetting someone?
Destro
Baronness
Lady Jaye
Gung Ho
Zartan
Storm Shadow
Snake Eyes
Crimson Guard
That was all of them so far, right? Seems weird to have this most recent set be only 3 when previously it was 4, then 2, then 2 more... maybe there's a retro Cobra Commander to come with them that they are waiting to announce until people have the HasLab version in hand?
Or maybe they don't care about even numbers and normal distribution patterns at all.
Really tempted by the deluxe Infantry soldier - but that deluxe price point has me pausing. Not sure I have as much use for generic aquatic soldiers... but I did buy more than one Cobra Eel, so, I may have to get one or two eventually.
The concept of deluxe priced army builders is tough though. I want more than one but I don't want to pay 1.5 times the price for the generic guy than I do for the named character.
As was pointed out above, EE still has both 60th anniversary figures for $25 apiece.
Guess I'll be waiting on Amazon to restock Techno Viper. Did he sell out really fast or what's going on there?
EDIT: Checked Twitter, Techno Viper never appeared as available.
Passing on Quick Kick, Airborne, and Recondo atm, but the rest are very interesting. Especially excited for Big Boa, he just looks so much fun! As far as figures with multiple looks go, he really looks like two different figures between unmasked with bloodied bandaged hands and masked with boxing gloves. Those bandaged hands will be great for photography.
My Hiss will be here Monday. I am excited. I've looked at my shelves. I'm scared and crying now.

That figures. Techno Viper is my biggest want from these reveals.
Fists! So many wonderful fists in these offerings. Sure Quick Kick has one and not two. Scarlett and Duke. So dang good! I like the first offerings too but these Retro are love letters to the Sunbow cartoon and comics while not being too Sunbow to undercut the Super 7 offerings. Seems they are being more complementary of each other.
It’s hard to gauge how big Big Boa will be. Sarge size? Roadblock? Smaller? Also two bare chested hand to hand fighters being made. I hope he’s got a little more height than most Classified figures. His gloves look good to me.
Airborne looks to be a good complement to my Wild Bill for Dragonfly. We’ll see that in 2025 I bet. Some reused packs are okay. He having Duke’s pack is better than Falcon’s. Wild Bill, NF Ripcord, Airborne, and Wolf Spider make a good crew.
A couple Techno-Vipers make sense. They’re the Cobra Geek Squad and the black and red one with SMS will look good.
Man I hope they get some grape soda in with Zandar or Torch. Seeing Quick Kick with the fudgie bar has made the want for the accessory more prominent. Matt’s pics are so cool! He does a sweet job showcasing pieces in a pictorial narrative.
More fun to come.
Thwipp!
