I also got the "preparing to ship email" for my order containing Snow Job and the Valkyries. I actually didn't remember ordering either of them (and they're not in my PO spreadsheet) so it was a nice surprise until I remembered that literally yesterday I worked up a "fun money" budget for the rest of the year and those two packs aren't in it. Oh well, canceled both. I think they'll stick around long enough to hit one of the Pulse sales at some point. I'd actually prefer a retro-styled Snow Job, the new one looks fantastic but it's a bit busy and bulky and I miss the black accents as I think they pop better than all the brown.
Same on the Valkyries notice. Pretty excited to get these in hand. I only ordered one set but I expect that wil change if they're half as good as the Cobra soldiers.

I love this line, but recently decided to cancel a bunch of preorders and cut back. Between the deluxe figures with extras that I don't want and the exclusives, the line is becoming both more expensive and difficult to collect. I still love how most of them look, I just think I'm better off saving some money.

Wolf Spider is a little underwhelming. The head and helmet are great but I'm not thrilled with the restrictive Beachhead vest and Falcon parts reuse.
Wolf Spider is a cool kitbash. I wonder if the budget for that body, also used for Scrap-Iron, was parsed for this exclusive a la some of the Cobra Island/Tiger Force exclusives, even though Scrappy was technically released first.

Also, I don't think it's fair to say Hasbro 'retaliates' against fuckface by releasing better versions of whatever characters he's trying to steal from them today. Far more likely that Vala still has a friend somewhere at Hasbro feeding him info. The nature of toy design is that one guy running a company can power through things like approvals, marketing, legal, etc and could beat Hasbro to announcing something even if Hasbro started work on it first.
And frankly, I don't think Hasbro cares about Bobby or his silly notions that he is in any way their competition.
Agree on Resolute designs as well. That's pretty much the only Duke I've ever liked.

I know it's the way of things, but it will never not infuriate me when toy companies basically admit something is bad, or that fans don't like it, or it's outdated or whatever.. but just keep using it. And the justification is just 'well... we're gonna keep using it.' Hasbro has been doing this forever with Marvel Legends. I mean, there's STILL figures releasing on the goddamn Bucky Cap body. They're not even putting the new Bucky Cap on the Bucky Cap body, for Christ's Sake. But D-listers that will probably never get a chance to have a better figure? Sure. Put it on your worst (two-armed) body available.

I think it's more like they play around in a similar aesthetic and are mostly catering to the same group of customers.
Like I don't think Buddha is him rushing a Budo replacement to the market, but him trying to give something to the joe fans that do like some "ninja" in their military line. Halo and Call of Duty both have samurai style skins for multiplayer so it makes sense to produce something like those as well.

Any who, who in the absolute fucking fuck, decided that the gun that comes with Rock N' Roll would have a muzzle port that is too big for the effect parts that come with other figures? Like.. an idiot? Was it an idiot that decided this? One thing I was really excited about when I got the set was to steal one of the big muzzle flashes for RNR, but it just falls out of his gun. Stooooooopid.
Shouldn't have to, but hot glue in the hole will help. The blast will still be removable, and even the glue won't be permanent, as you can just heat it back up & scrape it out.
Got notice for the Valkyries as well. Really digging the trend in female army builders.
I wouldn't mind having Spearhead and Max. That was the last ARAH figure I bought as a kid.

spearhead and max are definitely nostalgic. I still remember when my brother got him and I got shockwave. Needless to say shockwave is a big want for me
