I found my single Grunt on the peg behind the Crimson Viper, for what it's worth. They were the only two Classified figures on the pegs at this smaller target. I don't plan to troop build this guy, especially since his last name is on his chest.

Heard Ross got Joe's too now

Yeah,  I saw a YouTube with the PP Cobra trooper at Ross for $5.99, iirc.  No Ross stores in my area.  I found the Cobra Island Roadblock last week at Burlington for $7.99.

Target was so busy this morning and felt understaffed, I didn't want to ask for a cheap Grunt.  I paid for my clearance Toys and left.

Bracing myself for mild disappointment with the Steel Brigade set.  I'm almost upset at myself for enabling Hasbro to sell us a figure with those terrible single-jointed-elbow arms that bend less than 90 degrees this late in the line.  Hate to see the return of hard vests that block ab crunch.

I hope I'm wrong and I dig this two-pack, but to me it just seems like they didn't try very hard, which is weird for the most iconic good guy Joe army builder.  

@thwippersnapper The more I scope this figure out the more I think they really need go give props to the art department - he's just really excellent color theory execution. He's the same figure as the others! But applying the right palette turns him into a really striking variation. Someone knew what they were doing on this one. 

Unrelate: got shipping for Steel Brigade and Low-Light. This series just keeps hitting home runs. 

Received Low Light and Tunnel Rat from Amazon (which I ordered last night and showed up today, amazing). I really like both figures. Low Light from the Pursuit of Cobra era was one of the greatest GI Joe figures of all time, and this one is nearly identical, just scaled up. So my expectations were high and met. Tunnel Rat adds some nice diversity to the group, being an Asian character and a shorter build. Also love his accessories and just his overall sculpt, especially the portrait. Two more winners for the line. Really can't go wrong with Classified.

Saw a bunch of retro Crimson Guard at an out-of-the-way Walmart tonight in NY. Have not previously seen these guys in U.S. stores, just some in a Canadian Walmart on Mother's Day (and I still regret not grabbing one of the Storm Shadows that was there as well.)

I keep thinking I'd cancel my Steel Corps and Tripwire pre-orders because they're not really characters I'm interested in, but whenever i go to the order page and see the pictures I'm all "these guys look awesome!"

Still in disbelief the Steel Corps body hasn't been added to the Selfie Series.

Managed to get 4 Grunts for $12 each.  Love that I was able to army build these guys for so little!

I swear, Hasbro must be doing this on purpose so we don't cancel pre-orders and/or bitch about things arriving late.  I've completely lost track of which figure is in which wave when they all show up within two months of eachother.  I don't even want to count how many I've bought in the past month.

So I’m sitting here. I’m opening my Tunnel Rat while watching Bills v Dolphins. This is fun. Classified is fun.

Oh yes I see what everyone is saying about the torso kibble. I mean the smallest Joe has a huge pack and gun. He has so many moving pieces on the torso. It’s crazy. 

I think it’s the tiny details they add in Classified like the “Tunnel Rat” patch on his left shoulder. The small removable flashlights give a little more playability. Night vision goggles are cool. They are just enough tolerance to sit on top of his head or positioned over his eyes. I like the paint on his arms and face matching. 

I do have nits. I wish his head/neck articulation gave more upward look for the face. It would be better for crawling poses. My big gun was a bit warped but straightened out with heat. The bullet bandolier slides off the shoulder a bit too easily. Plugging the backpack on back kind of helps. 

Another fantastic fun to collect Classified.
