awesome group NORM! personally I'm really glad they kept a similar spine/side art on the boxes.
Thanks!
UGH, I forgot that this forum squishes vertical photos posted from Flickr. When I view on a desktop, all of the photos are smushed vertically. So annoying.
Has Amazon shipped Gnawga.. Gnaw... Gnawgahyde to anyone yet? Seeing him in stock on Pulse (I, for reasons that sometimes defy logic, keep maintaining a membership so shipping would be free) I am so tempted.
If I were still army building, I'd definitely be picking up a few of those Snow Serpents and using the first release with his fur cape/parka as a squad commander, but I really don't have the space anymore for army building.
@normdapito Still excellent photos. Can't wait for Torch to get wider release.
Sic trio Norm, as the kids say. My Torch is in limbo currently. He looks freaking fantastic! I’m going to have some fun with accessories I’ve picked up once he arrives.
Thwipp!
@jtmarsh Yeah they are part of the 60th branding. So like the Soldier and Diver they will be deluxe releases, without a number on the box. The leak/rumour list had them as Action Marine and Action Pilot, but that was updated later on and the Pilot is now rumoured to be a HALO Jumper. Oh and the Marine is supposedly going to be a female figure.
Hopefully they get revealed at SDCC because I am interested to see what they look like. Though I wonder if they do more releases if they'll remove the 60th branding since it won't be the 60th anniversary anymore (even by the time these next two release).
Thanks so much for the info. I still have a lot of my McFarlane Military figures (statues), and the Navy Seals and the HALO Jumper were my favorites. I've no real attachment to GI Joe beyond just what looks cool, but those military figures that Todd did 10-15 years ago are more or less what led me to Hasbro's current GI-offerings.
The butterfly joints on Vypra drive me nuts. They simply don't fit correctly. IIRC they tried to use Zarana's arms and butterfly joints on Akiko's torso. Reuse is one thing but at least make it functional. I tried swapping the sides, and the forward range increased but she lost all backwards range. The only working fix is to trim them.
I did notice they were wonky. And looked a bit odd too. But because of the overlay, she can't really use them very well anyway, and you can barely see them. So I don't think I'll mess with them. If they do end up bugging me what would I trim?
My only real gripe is the bow and knees are kinda gummy.
Thanks!

When you click the share button on Flickr, it has share, embed and BBcode. Copy the BBcode entry instead of the share entry. I edited your first figure post with the BBcode and it shows up unsquished for me. Let me know if that made sense.
Thanks!

I've been using Flickr's mobile app. It doesn't give me the options for share, embed, or BBcode. It gives me the option to copy URL, which is what I do, then I paste into the post field. Do I need to open Flickr on a desktop for what you described?
@normdapito Yeah, I did it on a desktop. Must be the only way to get the different options. Weird.
