@zombief-body I agree that Miami was pretty integral to the show.  However I think Miami still has that flair and uniqueness today that it did back in the 80s.  Play up the style, the fashion, the music, the different neighbourhoods, the different cultures, etc.   I kind of think of what they did with the Hawaii Five-0 revival back in the 2010s.  It used the location as part of the show, along with the culture and people while also holding true to the original.   So maybe scrub Crockett and Tubbs guiding a new generation and just reboot with a new Crockett and Tubbs.

If they were to do the period piece type of idea I would prefer a movie, or limited series.  If done in modern day I would say go full on series.

Either way give me a Classified Crockett and Tubbs with a 1:12 Ferrari Testarossa!!!!

Now that you mention H50, i do like the 'modern' Magnum PI, decent show.

Heck, would even like a modern Magnum PI figure from the show.

@Norm:  Damn, screwed by Amazon again due to location.  I live in CA, why are these things not shipping to a major chunk of the market!?  We even just built a new DC in my town.  It's just swinging into operation so hopefully things will change.  However, I've got plenty of other things coming this month so maybe letting the wallet breathe is a good idea.  However, as Canprime said, it may yet all hit when I least expect it!

I had an issue a couple weeks back when I ordered a pack of "AAAA"  batteries. It was Prime and said arrives in 2 days, but the shipping kept getting delayed and I was not allowed to cancel.  After five days of waiting, I had to turn into a Karen during the CS chat, "I'm paying for Prime and expect it ship no matter where the distribution center is..."  It actually escalated to a ticket and another rep had to enter the chat over a $6 pack of batteries.  I'm probably being a jerk at that point, but I just wanted to cancel and order a substitute without having to buy a supply of these oddball sized batteries. I ended up with a refund and ordered a pack with charger for $9.  They used to have "add on only" for inexpensive items they didn't want to ship by themselves.

@mrboshek don't feel bad about that.  the entire platform revolves around two-day shipping, so if they can't even do that, they should get all the flak in the world.  any employee who is doing their job shouldn't take it personally.

my Torch was delayed to late August and I'm ready to get on the phone and throw a big hissy fit!  (not really but it's funny to think about).

I feel like Torch is one of my most-anticipated figures.  He just looks perfect.

I got tired of waiting on Amazon and none of the local Walmarts got this wave in yet so I ordered Torch and Gnawgahyde on BBTS and will hopefully have them on Tuesday.

As there is an onslaught of toys about to hit I’m good with piecing it out. It won’t go that way but it’s nice when it does come in in slow trickles. Most of my stuff is from Pulse in July and August. Only a few preorders with Walmart and Target too. I’m expecting Pulse to send two or three things a week maybe.

Torch and Gnawgahyde up first.

Thwipp!

@nightwolf Magnum PI was pretty good.  I like episodic TV, not entire season long arcs.  The Magnum reboot reminded me of the old days.  Even though I liked the series, the romance between Higgins and Thomas was a little jarring.  John Hillerman was my boy back in the day!  Glad they kept Zeus and Apollo too!  I'd be down for figures.  I have the Mezco classic Crockett and Tubbs from like 20-years ago.  They were stylized and kind of cartoonish.  A more realistic line would be great.

I'm really not in a rush to get anything usually (I saw the Dragonfly notification the other day and literally just went oh, interesting--okay!) but I think my lizard collector brain is really annoyed by already getting the snow serpent and eel and having Beachhead pushed back a month and a half. Like i haven't been grumpy about a delay in AGES but I want him now!

I see Gnawgahyde is in stock on Pulse - I may just order him in the morning there. One of the reasons I order Joes and Legends from Amazon is I don't feel guilty canceling on them. If I order from an indie like BBTS I only cancel orders if I screw up and order something twice by accident, but Amazon? They don't need my order. Torch is still listed as a preorder... reckon if the two Noks are available on Pulse this weekend I'm an easy mark to swap my order.

All my Joe pre-orders but the Snow Serpent have been pushed to August on Amazon.  Usually Amazon is on par with regards to availability as most of the other outlets so with the free 2-day it's always been the better deal for me.  Beachhead is my most wanted right now too.  Still, ML is more of a priority at the moment.  Really looking forward to Astonishing Wolverine.  That era was when I started to get back into reading comics again.  Mighty Avengers too.  Danny Ketch is my GR so he's going to be most welcome on the display shelves.  I wonder if things had to be juggled around to get Marvel product out to coincide with Deadpool and Wolverine hitting theaters.

What do we know about the "Action Pilot" & "Action Marine?"  I assume they're like the recon diver in that they're just generic figures not specifically named, which is fine with me, but someone was saying that one's a HALO Jumper?  I'm going to need a few of the just like I did the Recon Diver.

@jtmarsh Yeah they are part of the 60th branding.  So like the Soldier and Diver they will be deluxe releases, without a number on the box.   The leak/rumour list had them as Action Marine and Action Pilot, but that was updated later on and the Pilot is now rumoured to be a HALO Jumper.   Oh and the Marine is supposedly going to be a female figure.

Hopefully they get revealed at SDCC because I am interested to see what they look like.   Though I wonder if they do more releases if they'll remove the 60th branding since it won't be the 60th anniversary anymore (even by the time these next two release).

I got Vypra today. Pretty cool figure. I like the Skull mask. I know where all the parts came from but it makes it look good. I do believe I will paint the sheath and quiver black though. That odd white color isn't doing it for me.

The butterfly joints on Vypra drive me nuts.  They simply don't fit correctly.  IIRC they tried to use Zarana's arms and butterfly joints on Akiko's torso.  Reuse is one thing but at least make it functional.  I tried swapping the sides, and the forward range increased but she lost all backwards range.  The only working fix is to trim them.
