@supercamel-1982 you can always buy the sets and sell the vehicles amd make some of the money back. Keep the figures. I'd hate to break up sets, but I honestly habe no need for any tf pp nf or slaughters marauders except for parts and to use an exclusive for parts is silly, so I'd rather keep it for the value and sell it later or just sell it.

@supercamel-1982 man I get it totally.  Lots of companies do this with the big lines. Even smaller Joe's during the 25th. I army built vehicles so I wanted them. But if you wanted a lift ticket you had to buy the sky hawk. I ended up with like 10 lift tickets. I ended up with 10 of every driver lol. They made it, I had them built. 

Motuc did this as well but I was all in, so I wanted the vehicles and figures.

Super 7 is doing it now with the smaller things. I don't do silver hawks but for them dudes that do they habe to buy the whole set just to get copper kid. 

I'm on the verge of canning most of the crap I collect to just keep this line. Get rid of the 25th, and most the crap i collect. I only have 2 full collections for the most part 25th Joe's and motuc. 

@fletch I'm the same with that useless cc. Have 0 interest, but I'm not sure I want to sell. It will ruin the set, but as for your kids selling it, only us are its buyers , so if you go, we are either ahead of you or right behind you. Don't use that as a plan, homie. I'd definitely give it some time cuase there will be a point that it peaks and may have a point where it's below  just like a stock market. Always great to sell at its peak. Since this is a rare item it may always be high. Idk. Depends in the demand. Income taxes are.coming and that's always a great time to sell things at a higher price cause people will have them funds to blow, or I mean men will have them funds to blow on stupid stuff like toys.

Thankfully Copper Kid is available separately to purchase.  I would be livid if I had to buy that stupid vehicle just to get him.

@justice oh snap. I actually Forgot they are doing that. I'm not interested in the line. I went and made the mistake by being suckered in last year at this time due to being released, curiosity,  and youtube reviews. I ended up with most of them for free due to flaws lol. But that was that for me. Couldn't even crunch the torso. I was just gonna add them into my motuc and Thundercats collection . I'm actually at the point just cut off the company as a whole. I regret getting the van, tank and the lair. I do like the Conan figures though and the cats. I'm only little invested in the turtles as they were tail end for me. But I ended up getting every wave. Now I'm thinking I need to quit now before it's an issue. Also part if me says f it just sell it all and get money and space back hahaah.

Hasbro G.I. Joe stream next Thursday (2/29).

@unclassified I'm trying to phase out Super 7 purchases as well. Just need a couple more Silverhawks. TMNT has been easy to wean off of and with Thundercats I have everyone I really need.

MOTUC's definitely did that.  And like you, I was all in for all of it.  While I love GI Joe, MOTU has always been my favorite toy line.  And MOTU is a big part of why I've been considering the future, and space.  Because when it comes to MOTU, I have it all for every line the brand has had, with the only exceptions being the Vintage Eternia and the Vintage Dinosaurs and Giants that came out overseas.  

But now I have the Origins Eternia, and oh my God it's huge!  And I know this year Mattel is doing a crowdfund for a MOTU Lady Slither's Castle Playset that I want.

So, I had to start thinking of space, and being forced to buy 1:12 scale Vehicles to get certain figures for GI Joe will make it difficult in the future.

But I'll just try and sell the vehicles or get rid of some of the less important figures or lines I have.  Thats my problem, I'm very fortunate but I buy too many different lines.  I've definitely condensed it over the last few years, but still.  There are things I need to sell and get rid of.  Not just condense what lines I buy but condense what I have.

@supercamel-1982 That's called being a quitter!!!!  🤣   Your house should be where you let all your toys live and you and your family should be happy in tents outside.....looking longingly at the warm, comfortable, toys inside enjoying their home.   (cue melancholy background music) 

That or try and develop shrinking technology and you can live in Eternia while still being in your home.

I think we are all in the same boat as you.  I have cut way back since last year.  Space and cost of course being the biggest issues.  I'm kind of the the reverse of you.  Joe has always been my number one line since I was a kid.  Then maybe TFs and then MOTU.  However I went pretty hard in on Origins, and to a lesser degree Masterverse.  Nothing compared to Classified.  I have all but a couple of releases right now and hope to get the ones I am missing down the line. 

Origins had me at the beginning due to cost and design.  I mean who wouldn't love to collect a childhood line that looks almost like the original line and was cheaper than pretty much any other line at the time?  However the poor distribution in Canada and the ridiculous cost of Eternia ($1220Cdn) has pushed me into the pick and choose category for MOTU now and I am more and more focusing just on Classified.

The good thing for you with Classified is that right now it is super hot in the collecting community.  So you shouldn't have much trouble selling unwanted items.  That will change once the line cools down, but for the near future (1-2 years?) it should be easy to sell.

I am glad to see they finally announced the live stream.  I was getting a little worried.  I think one of the reveals will be the Walmart Con exclusives.  The question is will it be unseen figures, or something that has already been revealed/leaked?  I am hoping for unseen stuff since Walmart seems to still be the exclusive retailer for Night Force figures right now.

I'm sure it'll be the usual. Pre orders for in hand stuff that was previously renders only, renders of figures that were name drops only before and name drops for new figures.

Seen an add on fb for wish so finally decided to checkout the site. Well, when it comes to action figures, thats not the place to go for cheap prices especially, haha. They robbed me of my 15% off first order code. Never got it after I sent my email for the mailing list. But, however, and not even sure how this is even a thing, but I got refurbished big Ben for 17 and change shipped. There was only one and he was 13 and change. I decided to hop on it so I can get the parts for a low cost. 

Might do a ross run today. Depends I only got a few hours sleep so driving all over the west coast of jersey might not be a bright idea. They are getting some goodies and still others I've been trying to get like the xmen wave. But reports on bats and pp troopers. 

I’m hoping for a name only reveal of one of the newer comic characters Devil’s Due or IDW like Helix. Characters like Crimson Asp, Bombstrike, Dawn Moreno, or Wraith just present interesting new looks to add to the Real American Hero looks I am more familiar with. I know those guys are coming in Classified. I’m curious about the ones I don’t really know. More familiar due to seeing artwork or figures made of them in 4” scale. 

I’m also curious about characters from the late 80s and early 90s. So name only reveals of those would be interesting too.

I'm experiencing Classifieds withdrawal; I hope the Duke Retro wave gets bumped up.  Considering how the X-Men 97 wave 2 is shipping a month and a half early, I wouldn't be surprised if we see Duke shipping out in early March.  Very excited for the upcoming stream, maybe we'll get to see the Ferret!  I have to imagine we will see pre-orders for the new Marauders figures we saw leaked, AKA late-2024 ROSS exclusives that some people will get for 90% off while the rest of us pay full price 🤡
