Just bringing back the thread.
Ok, so most folks know of the Mattel Lightyear spaceships for their 5 inch figs fit in pretty well with Joes after a little paint and some modding. The XL-01 and the XL-15 were pretty wildly available, but there where 2 more that seemed to not hit US shores, the XL-07 and XL-14. A few websites had them listed as pre-order with no real date given. A few of us on the old forum lamented not being able to find them. Well on a whim in early Jun, I went on entertainmentearth.com and pre-orderd the 'Capture and Protect mission ship'. It's been saying coming whatever the next following month was since January, so I figured I give it a month and if it keeps pushing I would cancel. Welp, low and behold in early July I get a shipping notice and about two weeks later it shows up at my door. Funny enough the website still says "pre-order". Go fig.
Just gotta make a few cuts it in the nose abit to open up some foot space and the figs should slip right in.

Nice! it could work as a custom firebat
Looks closer to a Vector Jet then a Firebat. Still a cool looking ship either way. The Lightyear toyline was way better then it had any right to be, shame the movie wasn't nearly as fun.
I don’t know if it’s been discussed, but if Hasbro were to do a Mission Fleet type line for GI Joe would other people collect it? I would be OK with stylized figures but please, no deformed planes like the one done for Indiana Jones. I think something like HISS Tanks and the Dragon Fly would translate well. Things like the Killer Whale could truly be incredible! Zartan on his Chameleon and Dreadnoks. I’m really liking the Super7 Reaction figures for the GI Joe characters, but a line that brought in those classic vehicles as well could really pull me in!
Related to the overall topic of does it Joe, this Etsy shop has a bunch of props and accessories for our favorite military type figures.
Nicely done! I've been toying around with the idea of getting more dogs and paint one for each joe sub team
I'm sure this was already done on the old forums, but I've got a weird request: I was wondering if anyone who has the Marvel Legends Phoenix figure (green suit Juggernaut Wave) could maybe post a headswap with Scarlett? All of my old figures are in storage and I'm wondering if it would fit/look okay. That Phoenix face sculpt was questionable at the time, but it has a little character that could work for Ms. O'Hara, until Hasbro gets around to the retro/classic look.
Nope.
