Weasel, of course, and I see them including another, slightly different version of Weasel to be a generic pilot or gunner. Like, WW would have a cool ascot or scarf and extra deco to make him look flashier/ more decorated. Then you have someone to either man the turret OR pilot the 2nd Rattler you got.
I also predict a blue-costumed Baroness with headset radio. I don't know about a 4th figure. Maybe piss everybody off and so a Cobra Trooper with a red face mask like on the old box art.
Didn't the old Rattler have swappable battle damage panels, or did I dream that? Is that what you meant by removable panels?
A dynamic stand would be nice, especially since the Dragonfly gets one, but I wouldn't mind if the design itself included load-bearing hanging points for hanging.
And, of course, it has to have fold up wings, but I've been on about that before.
Yes, the vintage vehicle had battle damage panels that could be swapped in and out.
I definitely want the dark blue of the toy. That shade is so iconic and Cobra to me. I just hope they don't add other colors for the sake of adding other colors like they did on the Dragonfly.
I'm really excited to see Wild Weasel. He is such an interesting design and that red is so striking... he should look killer in 6" form. A colorway to create a generic trooper would be cool IMO, but otherwise I'd like named characters if possible. Generic troops are good for filling out a diorama or squad but they don't move the value needle nearly as much as "real" characters. I'm not sure who I'd suggest though since that would mean locking someone's favorite behind a (I assume) rather expensive paywall. GI Joe can go the Night Force route and that works great because they're just colorways. Cobra doesn't really have that outside of Python Patrol, and those wouldn't fit the Rattler at all. So yeah, I guess an alt color to use as a gunner, a ground crew or two, and maybe a Baroness would be ok.
I think I'm probably in the minority, but I'd love it if they left out the blast effects / lights / sounds / whatever in favor of just making it more affordable. Just gimme my plane and figures, please!
Interesting. Less accessories for lower cost would be more accessible to more.
I’m wanting a spectacle. I’ll pay for it.
Thwipp!
If they included a stand with the Dragonfly, they'll include one with the Rattler.
For extra figures, I like the idea of a blue Baroness, but that figure should be part of the mainline. An obvious repaint which has a lot of history. I wouldn't want that buried inside a crowdfund. If you want a Wild Weasel repaint, a black with red trim or blue one could work. Also, there could be a Cobra Air Trooper, a basic Cobra Trooper but with a different helmet. Those have existed previously in the brand. Include a blue JUMP pack with him as well.
I feel there will be electronics in the Rattler (light up dash), because there are electronics in the Dragonfly (and HISS). I don't think they're going to shift to drop them. Maybe down the road for a Joe tank (which frankly wouldn't have many except for headlights), but they'll keep the consistency of light up dashboards. Which is fine, since these are premium items.
Lights. Stand. A few firing effects. Ground crew member in a firey orange and nicknamed Tabasco Viper. I agree, blue Baroness as a separate purchase.
Thwipp!

The Mos Eisley cantina HasLab has basic and expanded versions at different costs. I wonder if they'd consider the same for a Rattler with a pay extra for blast effects version.

I'm still torn on this idea. While it does give a, slightly, cheaper option for people who can't go whole hog on a Haslab I also don't want to start going down the path of tiers for the actual Haslab itself.
Mostly because I see it being a situation of psychology. Consumers, especially collectors, can be swayed with exclusivity and it seems like a bit of manipulation by Hasbro in that respect. Also I worry that in the long run it may turn into a situation of neither tier is really worth the cost. The lower tier is too expensive for what you get, and the higher tier doesn't give enough to warrant the extra cost.
So far it is just the Cantina, but I guess we'll see how it does and whether other teams try this format as well.
Yeah, the tiered approach sounds good in theory but in execution it usually feels a bit anti-consumer and manipulative somehow.
Sorry but when are we supposed to find out what the 2024 Haslab is? Was it this month or next?

The Star Wars TVC Cantina Haslab ends on July 8th. I think the plan is to reveal the Classified Haslab at SDCC, but I imagine something will leak before then.
I think if they are going to continue ton experiment with a base and deluxe offering for Haslabs, I’d like to see them shift from backer count being the metric to a dollar amount like Kickstarter does. That way if they offer multiple options, the higher priced ones are contributing more to the campaign, which also in a way rewards those paying more by having their support contribute towards the goals more. With the cantina right now, if you back at the $400 level vs the $500 level it doesn’t impact the campaign any more other than you are paying more to get more. It’s just a single backer whichever version you choose.
I know Rattler is a safe bet at this point, but are we certain it's 6" scale?
@buttmunch They have done that in the past with some of the game based Haslabs where it was the dollar amount that determined funding. So it is doable, but I think they are a little more set in their ways with figure lines to try that. At least for now.
I know Rattler is a safe bet at this point, but are we certain it's 6" scale?
I think due to the Skystriker not funding as well as the HISS and Dragonfly they have been a bit more skittish about trying another 3.75" Haslab. Also they have licensed out the scale to Super7 so they might be even more hesitant to try so as not to impede Super7's plans because I'm sure they'll try their hands at vehicles along with figures.
So whatever the Haslab is, I would say it is a fairly safe bet that it will be Classified based.
However I would be all in on a Haslab for a 3.75" Night Raven or Whale. Both of those vehicles need updates to fix the engineering issues from the originals (NR cockpit, Whale fans, etc). Also a lot of vehicles from the original run that never got updated, or re-released during 25th/ME are becoming more and more fragile so updates would be much appreciated.
I will buy a rattler…but I’d rather have a night raven.
Hasbro. Please Do make a classified scaled sky striker. It WILL fund. They could kind of charge what they want for a decent sky striker.
