@bat I'm loving all these articulated animals we've been getting lately. I imagine the simple reason articulated animals haven't really happened before (and on their own) is due to cost. Sure some people would like them to use with other lines (ie 1/12) but probably not enough to warrant the cost of developing them as a standalone line. While there is some repaint potential, every animal is its own unique thing without too much reuse potential. If we're talking about 1/12, a lot of small animals like cats and dogs, would have to be limited in articulation. And do general animal toy purchasers want animals in 1/12 scale for what would likely be a $20+ pricepoint when they can get a PVC toy (like Schleich) for half the cost or less?
All fair points. At any rate, it's worked out integrated into various branded lines. Got horses through Mythic Legions, a pack of wolves through GI Joe, and soon *multiple* articulated bears! Couldn't have hoped it just a few years back.
Maurader Gun Runners have 1:18 scale dog that is good articulation. It's pretty close to Hasbro's Timber figure. It could be upscaled to 1:12, but the cost of plastic maybe doesn't make it possible. Right now, I just use it as a small dog for my 1:12 figures.

Yeah... I have to stop looking at this thread. Gorgeous figures that cost me too much money... that armored panda from Memory Toys posted two weeks ago is so good.
And these Algar dragonborn are super tempting. I don't need to be tempted by pricey imports, I spend enough on the domestic toys I collect dangit.
Those look great. Better than the Hero Toys versions, which are more cartoony.

Also, 5K posted on Instagram that "a company" might be working on a tiger mount figure as well and were soliciting suggestions/opinions, but no pics or anything yet.
