OK -   so my brother has been an enormous fan of Public Enemy since way back in the day.   I remember him popping a tape our cousin from New Jersey sent him into the stereo in 1986 -  this was before their first album got released - and he was in love.

Then, back in 1992 my brother was fronting a "Rap n' Roll" band in our home town and he got to open for Public Enemy when they came to town.   It was a dream come true for him.    He got to kick it back stage before the show,  drinking beers and shooting pool with Chuck and Flav and the S1W's.

Anyway,  he's the guy who got me into comic books and action figures when I was little.  He still has a huge comic collection and he still loves his music.

When McFarlane announced their Flavor Flav figure I ordered immediately to give to my brother -  but he looked at me and said "where's Chuck though".     I know Chuck D isn't going to license his image to McFarlane to make a figure because that's not how he rolls.    So I want to make a Chuck D figure for my brother and I'm trying to figure out the best parts to use.      I was figuring a WWE figure might be easiest?

I think in my fodder box I have an old WWE Elite Series 6 Shad figure that has the pants and boots that would work, and probably the arms too, really, at least bicep down.

Or, there's the Elite 38 Farooq that has a black T-shirt already painted on.    I'm not particularly interested in using one of the soft goods t-shirts because I need to try and waterslide a Public Enemy logo on there

The head is a tad trickier... but I was thinking maybe Shelton benjamin.... then any of the Cena baseball caps can be repainted to work.

Or are there better options I'm not thinking of?     I suppose a modern Marvel Legends Luke Cage does the jeans and t-shirt thing too...  hmmm

I'm definitely open to any suggestions or ideas.    I just want my brother to have a decent Chuck to stand next to Flav on his shelf.    And then maybe for Christmas I can worry about how to do Terminator X

Yeah... Ain't no way I'm pairing that thing up with the McFarlane Flavor Flav.... I've seen that piece of junk out of the package and to call it an action figure is... generous.
