I just finished season one, 10 episodes. Anyone else watch? The cast is interesting. It does hit on all the Spider-Man beats but it has some interesting twists. I love the look. The story took a bit of time to ramp up but it got there. I love Miles from Spider-Verse. This is another Peter Parker’s story but it looks good. The classic look with some changes. It’s good. I know I’m gushing as I just finished the season. It’s not as edgy as 97. It does have some great moments. I like Osborn here. I like how this series draws from so many sources. Anyway. Anyone else watching? What did you think? Spoilers of course as the whole season one has aired.

Yep I just finished it yesterday myself. I thought it was a great alternate take and that big reveal at the end of the finale was interesting! Can't wait to see where it goes. You can definitely tell it was originally part of the main MCU but then they changed their mind for storytelling purposes. It is a lot better watching a show when you already know it has a 2nd and 3rd season coming!

This already has a second AND third season coming?

Yikes. I got to the 11 minute mark maybe? I guess I missed the memo that they pulled this out of MCU timeline and it wasn't Holland's off-screen origin story. Or wait - this was originally titled Freshman Year, right?

Glad it worked for you two. As soon as it skipped ahead six months I thought it betrayed the entire premise of what the show was supposed to be - but maybe that was in the memo I missed.

I’m glad it is its own thing. Tom Holland is just another Spider-Man in the many years of different Spider-Men. I remember Spectacular Spider-Man took a bit to get into but then I realized how much it was a tribute to the stories told in the comics. I love how this builds all sorts of connections and relationships. The different characters having so many interesting interactions. I like how it weaves in new more modern characters into those classic ones. I look forward to seeing this story unfold.
