I did the strangest thing tonight and went back and watched some She-Hulk. I'd just wanted to see the Daredevil episode but wound up sticking around for the finale too.
I still say that Tatiana Maslany was great and I hope to see her back in the role with maybe some big budget movie effects for She-Hulk. But I also came to realize that the skeleton of the story, the struggles of a woman trying to succeed in two male-dominated fields, was strong. I just wish they'd put more effort into the story elements that weren't that skeleton. This could've been a really good place to actually explore the legal ramifications of super-heroes in the MCU, but with jokes. Instead the legal ramifications *were* the jokes.
Anyways, I'm open for more Maslany She-Hulk as long as they learned the right lessons from the first season.
I gave this post a broad topic title in case anybody had other movies or shows they think deserve another chance.
I think that was attachment to the premise of the show working like a sitcom. I liked the show too and thought big chunks of it were funny. I agree they could have explored law in the MCU a little more and pushed an even more silly imaginative vibe ala the Venture Bros. The Wong and men's group episodes were particularly fun. Maslany was very good and should return.
