That concept art looks very cool, but obviously a lot of that stuff often doesn't make it into the movies. Still, if they're using the Hickman Secret Wars as their guideline it should be a very ambitious couple of movies. I believe they can pull it off, but there's a lot of groundwork that still needs to be laid.
Ross sentenced himself to the Raft because he knew he wasn't in control of Hulking out. We viewers assume the pills were to *cause* the Hulking out but it makes more sense that they were nitroglycerin pills to calm his heart to *prevent* him Hulking out until he was put under too much stress when the Leader wanted him to Hulk out, imho.
I really wanted to rewatch Daredevil and Defenders before tomorrow but didn't even get close, and I can't wait so just diving in tomorrow.

Didn't the army guy who Sam gave the pills to in order to study them confirm that there was something in them that was causing gamma radiation or whatever? The pills clearly were altering his DNA to become a Hulk if he got mad enough, and the Leader was causing problems with the express purpose of getting Ross mad - maybe he thought that would happen when shot at, he thought it would happen on the naval ship...
Didn't the Leader gank that guy before he could finish talking?
On the other hand from what I said above, it's also plausible the Leader calculated the exact amount of pills needed to time the Rulkout to the very hour Ross would give a speech about the Tiamat incident the Leader was engineering; and that the condition was permanent. It ain't like Banner's, Blonsky's, or Walters' conditions have been shown to be curable so there's no reason to believe Ross' would be.
