I see your point but at this point... I feel like the days of getting ten projects out of these performers are in the past. Couple FF movies, couple event movies, maybe a cameo, probably as much as we can hope for.
I did not like Love & Thunder very much, but Quantumania is hands down the worst MCU movie. I don't even know if I have a runner-up handy, just...I really did not like that movie.
The Marvels was fun. I was wary after some of the more recent projects have been ho-hum, and there's plenty of critiques I would levy if I was writing a full review, but on the whole I think it worked. Iman is fantastic, and they did a good job of not overdoing it with the hero worship angle. Loved seeing Monica in live action and can't wait to see her fully realizing her powers. Brie feels underutilized, even as the lead - she's a great actor, and it felt like she didn't have a lot of opportunities to show her chops.
Loki, though...more of that please Marvel.

I didn't even see Quantumainia (is there even a point anymore? Are they ditching Kang entirely?) When I left Thor 4 I thought, "I need a break from this".
Thor 4 works better at home I feel. When you don't have an audience around laughing along with it, I think it comes across with a better balance between serious and humor at home. I was able to move on past or ignore the silliness of some parts faster at home it felt like. Still think there was too much, but it was a bit easier to deal with.
It's a film that frustrates me because I thought the opening with Gorr and his daughter, the aspect of Jane/Thor not working out, and Jane showing why she was worthy by joining the fight at the end after Thor begged her not to given the consequences - all of that was well done. But the silliness overwhelmed it at other times. Honestly if they had spent just a bit more time on Thor struggling to get over the loss of Asgard, his family, and his belief he failed to stop Thanos, and taken the scenes at Olympus a bit more seriously - where Thor was showing the leadership he naturally has - they could have really closed out Thor's journey perfectly.
Quantumania was worse, but as there was little in it that made me think it could have been better, I really don't care as there are always movies I don't like, that happens. Thor 4 could have been special, but they squandered it to some extent, and that bugs me as special is rare.
@ru1977 Can't see Pedro as Reed, personally.
I'd like to see David Tennant in that role, he could pull off the intellect part and the quirky physicality as well I suspect. He also old enough now that it works for a middle-age Reed.
Not MCU obviously but how about that Madame Web trailer huh?

That's as far as I got into the trailer before I turned it off. My streak of successfully ignoring SONY's non-animated Spider movies continues.

I think I get what you're saying, and feel the way I'm interpreting it as well, heh. There WERE parts of L&T that worked. Some of them weren't entirely earned by the rest of the movie, but I still enjoyed them and wasn't as upset about them not earning it as I have been with some other things. And the parts that didn't work... I know I always say this, but I really feel another draft wouldn't have hurt. Work that stuff out on the damned page before you edit, before you shoot.
And like you, I see Quantumania as something that just didn't work. Some movies I can dwell on and have ideas on what could have been improved, but Quantumania... I dunno. No, wait, having his friends along for the ride would have helped. Luis unintentionally breaking the telepath would have been entertaining. I also feel like Cassie's mom and stepdad were missing. I didn't need them in the whole movie, but not showing them at all made it feel like a fan edit or something. But there was FAR more about the movie that didn't work for me than did, particularly the endings. The last half hour made Peter Jackson yell "get on with it already" at the screen.
A big part of my Quantumania experience was most likely watching it with a ton of children on candy. That was my mistake. I don't know how much better it will be watching in a more controlled atmosphere, and one day maybe I'll find out. But for now, I think it's my least favorite Marvel movie. And I was someone that liked A&W even MORE than Ant-Man.
And I could see Tennant as Reed, but I INSIST on using his real accent. I'm still annoyed that Doctor Strange isn't British. We have enough American actors, get one of them if you need that accent. Just like when people were fancasting Ewan McGregor as Ant-Man before Rudd was cast, I always maintained that could be really interesting, but let him have his real accent! At least they let the Irishman keep his in Eternals.
I slowly was able to accept Ragnarok. Putting aside the fact (as hard as it may be) that Wattiki came on and used the Warriors Three as cannon fodder and destroyed Asguard, the rest of the movie, bafflingly, had a tone of light heartedness. Thor's journey to Jeff Goldblum's world was a fun romp, I thought Hulk more or less worked well playing off Thor. It was like a one shot of a Chris Claremont X-Men where they take a one issue break to play baseball or go to the mall. It's a fun break, but you want to get back to the action and drama, you don't want to linger too long.
Love and Thunder lingered too long. No, I don't want another round of Matt Damon's schtick. No, screaming goats aren't funnier the fifth time. Jane's story could have EASILY had a movie devoted to it, instead they just kind of fit it in. It was surrounded by too much cheese. It was all forced. It just didn't work.
Yeah, Pedro's a bad choice for Reed. Frankly, Reed's not known for being charismatic like Pedro often plays and presumably would do here. And yeah, he's already in his 50s; much too old to be playing a 'new' Reed, imho. Reed should be no more than 30 when they get their powers, imho.

You called it!
I don't have an issue with Pedro as Reed. He's a great actor, has range, and now joins his BFF, Oscar, in the MCU along with already being Star Wars buddies.
I also like the rumor of Javier Bardem as Galactus. Another great actor whose voice could the perfect combination of gravitas, ominous, strength, and omnipotence needed for the Devourer of Worlds.
I'm not thrilled about the latest bit of info saying Marvel Studios is considering gender-swapping the Silver Surfer. Why? Galactus has had female heralds that are compelling characters in their own right. Use one of them. I really hope that that bit of information is just some confusion regarding Marvel Studios wanting to use a female herald.

... I actually thought they were...
BUT.... yeah, recycling the Damon bit was tired, and I do agree about the Warriors Three being utterly wasted. I can accept their death, and the destruction of Asgard, but it would have been really cool to have some actual scenes with them. I guess probably during the part where Thor exposes Loki in the beginning. But their inclusion in Ragnarok was JUST to be killed, and as much as I enjoy the rest of the movie, they were actually a lesser version of Maria Hill's involvement in Secret Invasion.

First off, he's 48. I know for most people that's probably 'close enough', but I think anyone in their late 40s is gonna cling to the distinction! heh.
Secondly, it's not known if this movie will be an origin story, so they may be well established at this point and already had their powers for some time.
And lastly, Pedro often plays charismatic but he actually has a lot of range. Watching him in just in interviews gives me a lot of faith in him, and plainly... he's an actor. A lot of times they enjoy playing against type. It brings to mind when Batman was played by the guy from Mr. Mom.
And apparently as far as 'why not stick with Krasinski', he didn't want it. Seems like he was happy to do a one-and-done in MOM then never suit up again.

Where did that rumor come from? I'd heard the main herald in the movie will be female but not that it's Silver Surfer yet.

"Of course, Galacus will have a herald to do his bidding, and Sneider reiterates that the studio is looking to cast a female take on the Silver Surfer (whether she'll also be a fuly CG creation remains to be seen)."
Like I said, hopefully this is just a bit of confusion because I've heard the speculation Marvel Studios wants a female herald but the bet was on Nova, not gender-swapping the Surfer.
