Just finished Loki S2, and it and She-Hulk are now my two favorite things the MCU has done in the last 3-4 years. I don't think I've rewatched anything since Endgame, but both seasons of Loki might need a repeat soon.
Awesome!
That's a great question about rewatching. I've rewatched WandaVision but mostly because my daughters were obsessed with it for a couple months. Of the movies, I have rewatched Eternals a few times, Shang Chi a second time, and No Way Home several times. Oh, and Guardians 3 a few times. Come to think of it, I've rewatched several of them now.
I totally forgot Guardians 3, which I also loved. Plenty of other stuff I've enjoyed but those are definitely the tops for me.
I guess I don't do a lot of rewatching anyway - I did a big rewatch in the runup to Endgame, but haven't gone back much since then. Speaking of watching with your kids, I've got 6 nieces and nephews that will be age-appropriate for the MCU in a few years so I think I'm just saving all my rewatches hoping one (or all!) of them are into it and we can do the whole thing together.
Right, the whole 'a new Marvel movie's coming, lets rewatch them all again' ritual is a massive commitment anymore. One of my friends even did the marathon in the theater where they showed all of Phase 1 before Avengers came out. I thought that was ridiculous, then again I'm also someone who will watch Lord of the Rings in one sitting when given the chance.
So now I just rewatch the ones I feel like reliving. But saving it for watching with nieces and nephews is so perfect. It always gives me a new appreciation for the movies, like watching my son's face the first time he watched Empire Strikes Back and got to the ending.
The MCU is just such a massive world now, it's easy to pick and choose.
In other news, Tom Hiddleston said:
That he has said goodbye to the character and marvel twice in the past before being brought back again, so he feels it's "unwise at this point to be conclusive about any of it."
And on the Daredevil: Born again front, newly hired directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead said:
“It is day zero. We’re currently just consuming Daredevil content, not just the Netflix show but all the possible material. We’re just making our stew of information nice and thick.”
Less than half the season had been shot and the pair are not only to rework and film the remaining material, but also rethink and possibly reshoot material that has already been done.
I really hope they pull something wonderful out.
Oof. DD remains one my favorite Marvel TV/movie endeavors. I'll be bummed if Born Again sucks. They're in a tough spot having already shot some of it.
@tsi Same here. Sometimes I might even put it as my favorite Marvel project of all time. I deeply enjoyed all three season, and like you I will be bummed if BA sucks. At this point, even if they have to do away with some things they've shot, I say so be it. They need more wins, and Daredevil can be a solid one. Make it great, Marvel.
Wow Marvels was ridiculous. I’m not sure if it was a fun ridiculous or just dumb ridiculous. Kamala tries so hard. Monica is a little charming. Fury is collecting a paycheck. He could have been replaced with Agent Brand. I mean anyone could have done his role. Can they let Brie do the stunts and have an acting double? She is bad. I laughed inappropriately when there’s a scene Carol talking to Monica and Carol has a tear running down her face. I almost wanted to see her have to sing talk to stretch herself more. It’s ridiculous. It cost them a bunch and it’s going to be a slow earner at best. A better film would have been seeing Carol do what she did and then be deep in the Kree civil war. That’s a better story. Perhaps the journey takes her to sacrificing a good deal of her powers to help end the war. I like Kamala but she works best in a story like the one teased. They can still have their freaky Friday power swapping if they wanted. It’s just a waste they introduce the bangle having a bigger cosmic importance but don’t really developed or use that very well. Marvels is ridiculous. I saw it on $5 Tuesday night. Might as well wait till December when it’s on Disney +.
Thwipp!
Not MCU obviously but how about that Madame Web trailer huh?
maybe watching on my phone was a mistake but I couldn't really follow what was happening. Or maybe it was too much apathy. The supporting cast has some people I'm interested in, but I... I can't remember if I've seen anything with Johnson before. Is she always like this?
"Your future was almost so different" was another standout.

I tell myself that every day I make the choice to go into work or not. 🙂
I like how everyone is kinda frantic in the movie, acting like they're really in danger or trying to save someone, and she's calling to ask if you're content with your long distance service.
