"Smile"
Creepy movie. A lot of jump scares but they lean in to it early with "Did you break another glass?". That got a sensible chuckle from me. I really liked the lineage of the haunt, it was clever. It had a couple mild twists that were unexpected and some really good performances. The commentary on mental health and trauma are important and appreciated.
My kids are jerks because they're now trying to give me the creepy look from the movie and they're too good at it.

The Curse of Bridge Hollow (9 out of 10)

I stumbled upon this movie cause my niece was watching it and i joined her. I was quite surprised this movie was very good since its a Halloween "family" flick. The monster effects were pretty decent and alot of action in the movie. Always been a fan of the Wayans brothers so Marlon did a good job at being the comedy relief guy in this flick. Some of the monsters were: zombies, giant spider and killer clowns, skeletons with football uniforms. This movie is like The Mask (jim carrey) meets Halloween.

I finally watched Kneecap last week and I've been obsessed with it ever since. It finally pushed me to start learning Irish more seriously. Every now then, I'd learn how to say something and retain that but now I'm doing it daily and really putting what I can into it. Both my daughters saw that and decided to do it along with me, so I'll actually have people to practice with. Yes, Duolingo, but I'm constantly watching youtube videos for beginners. Another thing is learning the dialects. Not a big country, but the north has differences from the west, and from the east, etc.

Angry Birds part 1 (8.5 out of 10)

I really enjoyed it, i thought i wasnt but it was quite decent. alot of chaotic action, pretty funny, crazy storyline of course. good family movie too. Heck, it even made me a buy a figure from the movie (i have a problem, help me) I bought the 'Mighty Eagle' figure from Lego. love the Mighty Eagle design, a big pot belly, kooky eagle with a pin head and extra long beak 😆 😊 😋 Dying to see Angry Birds part 2 now.

Caught The Electric State on Netflix and didn't hate it.Β  It was massively by-the-numbers and I thought a lot of the robot designs were humorous; but it wholly failed to convey the melancholy solitude of Stalenhag's paintings.Β  Tales from the Loop was *much* better overall.
