Denis Villeneuve spoke with Variety about Dune 2, and even Dune 3.

Spoiler
Spoiler for the ending of Dune 2

I never read the books but apparently, like the book, Dune 2 will end with a cliffhanger, but Villeneuve plans to take a break before coming back for part 3.

Danny Boyle had already said he was doing 28 Years Later but Cillian Murphy is apparently producing and possibly starring as well.

David Lynch died. I knew he wasn't doing well at all but still... probably the biggest celebrity death for me since Carrie Fisher. Some storytellers, I feel like they have ideas of what they're trying to say and convey, and sometimes maybe they don't find the best way to go about it. But Lynch, I never questioned that because he had his own style and perspective, so I always trusted he was telling things exactly the way he wanted to. Maybe akin to someone like James Joyce, where every single word, or frame, is utterly intentional.

I knew he was essentially retired due to health reasons, but it's still a shock. Lynch is one of my favorite filmmakers. I've always loved his sheer unadulterated, unafraid audacity in the face of cinematic mediocrity.

@ibentmyman-thing yeah same about his health and retirement, but still a blow. "Such a unique voice" doesn't begin to cover it, but he had such a unique voice. Amazing ideas, visuals, characters, and always something to dwell on for ages after I watched. The new Twin Peaks wasn't at all what I expected but I loved every minute of it anyway.

I just saw Wolf Man and I frikken' LOVED this movie. Straight horror movie. No ridiculously crazy/twisty plot. No "agenda". No overly done gore just for the sake of gore. It has very violent moments, but they fit the story. I really can't remember the last time I got to see a classic-style horror movie. Nosferatu had a chance, but it was too artsy at times.

If you like classic horror movies, I can't recommend this enough.

I recently started watching the anime series "Assassination Classroom". It's pretty good, and funny, so far. I recommend it, if you like anime.
