Im pretty excited for this season since i really liked the first season, 1st season was perfection. Let me start with the bad things i noticed. The intro was very chaotic, didnt like it. the CGI is bad, you know what im talking about, when they jump or run and it gets sped up for some reason and it looks bad. Bullseye's costume looked like a boring ninja, not good. I wished they would have showed a new suit for DD but its the same one from season one, they should have refreshed the costume to stir some new excitement. they fell short there.
Overall, seems good. gonna give it a chance since alot of tv series start off alittle slow which i understand why. looking foward to more episodes. charlie cox is a great actor, he portrays the DD role quite good. Tommorw will see the 2nd episode.

Agreed. The first episode was shaky imo but by the end of the second I was like omg we're back.
Definitely enjoyed watching the first two episodes. Really interesting choice to have the only in costume Daredevil scene be the first 10 minutes of those first two episodes. In the second episode we only got that brief fight scene with the cops... but I don't mind the slow burn. I mean the old Daredevil show primed us for a bit of a slow burn - I always thought it was because they had to stretch it to a 13 episode season... but this one is taking it's time with the slow build as well.
I read that they started principle shooting for Season 2 last week - so that's fun. And apparently Kristen Ritter happened to come into town that same day so there was some speculation that possibly Jessica Jones could show up in Season 2... obviously could be coincidence or nothing, but I wouldn't be mad at it.
Anyway, intrigued for where this goes and love that it's back.
Jessica Jones was originally to be in this season but scheduling conflicts got in the way, so I wouldnt be surprised.
And honestly, I didn't notice any CG issues, but I also don't expect Endgame budget for a TV show. The writing has a bit of clunk but only stuff I thought about later.

I couldn't watch Ep 2 tonight so I broke my rule and watched it for lunch in the daylight - and that worked out pretty well - it was a lighter episode.
I fundamentally disagree with the need to kill off Foggy and remove Karen. The original show had four lead characters so if you can't write for four - maybe you shouldn't be writing. Karen and Foggy were great characters and great performances and to choose to eliminate them is foolhardy.
AND for the first creative team to plan to do it off-screen is SUCH a misguided choice. The retool at least fixed that - but I'm thinking it may have been more of a scheduling thing and it was just not up in the shooting schedule yet. But they had to continue on with these poor story plans because they'd already shot so much in this new dynamic that they can't be easily wedged back in. I hope Karen comes back as soon as they can smoothly write her back in - her beef with Fisk is just as interesting as Matt's. Maybe she'll be back when they find out who sent Dex.
I thought the opening fight sequence looked hideous. It's like someone knew that Daredevil was famous for long fight sequences and so put one in but with zero skill, so it's all CG stitches that look SO fake. Is this a new stunt team? Daredevil swinging is probably not something to be done with real actors, unless they are actually doing the whole move and *landing* - it looked terrible every time. Also, where the heck did the costume come from? Matt ran home to grab it and then rush back? This fight would have made WAY more sense if he was in street clothes - Bullseye killed every bystander who could have seen him, and it would make sense why he's so terrible - he has no armor. Taking off the helmet was also incredibly unnecessary - there are smoother ways to make that organic, like being in street clothes.
But yeah - that opening was rough.
I like what they do with Matt and Fisk after that. Though it is interesting to see all the media shot over the last two years coming out dealing with Trump-like power brokers when no one (in Hollywood) expected we'd have the actual version back. It makes the premise less entertaining when real world parallels are too real.
I like the slow immersion back into Daredevil-ing for Matt and I like his new therapist (though I still hold a grudge against OG Emily Thorne ;). I'm interested where this show is going but I hope when it gets back to actual fights they are put together much better than the first one. The one in the apartment, thankfully, was already much better.
It was really nice having Matt back. I really enjoy this interpretation of the character, and Charlie Cox's performance.

Brad Winderbaum (Marvel executive producer) confirmed Foggy and Karen returning for season 2, and apparently it isn't for flashbacks. There's a storyline in the Bendis and Brubaker era that seems like a massive inspiration for a lot of what's happening in this series.
I'm okay with more of a focus on Matt and Fisk right now, even though they ARE setting up other characters to be semi-prominent. He's got a new partner, an investigator, then of course Frank is coming back for at least a little bit. it feels like the story they needed to tell needed Karen and Foggy cleared away for now. I'm okay with that if they DO come back, but I'm gonna need to hug Foggy immediately after Matt does, please.
Oh wow, this 2nd episode was like night and day. this episode was fantastic. now were talking. Im excited for WHITE TIGER, lets see what they do with him. the ending had me on the edge of my seat, he just killed 2 corrupt cops and he has to clean all that up, he screams then it ends, good one. Im NOT really interested in seeing frank castle again, they should show a new superhero, that would be cool. Maybe Shang Chi, Howard the Duck 😆 or Iron Fist

None of the dialog sounded natural, the fight was lame, there was some unnecessary yet bad CGI, and their attempt at a one-shot action sequence only reminded me of how they'd done it better before. His appearance in She-Hulk was better than this.
I'm glad to see it gets better in episode two, but it'll be a minute before my interest builds up to try again. Yuck.

I said the exact same thing, just think about the start like if it was a warm up/follow up, it really starts with episode 2 😉
