Beside Amiami, what are some credible places to order Mafex figures from that doesn’t charge upfront for preorders with decent prices and shipping?

I know you said no amiami, but I split orders between them and hobbylinkjapan. Neither takes money up front. HLJ will automatically charge you when product arrives while amiami sends an invoice. HLJ has a more lenient cancellation policy, but I hear they will crack down on abusers when needed. Shipping? It is what it is.

I also order at times from nin-nin games. It's been a while since I bought anything from cdjapan.

Hobby-Genki is great if you're patient.

I know this Japanese web site that's great.  They have a great private warehouse, and the pricing is fair.  Their stock tends to be low if you don't order quickly though.

Oh, wait, I guess I shouldn't post this publicly then... 😳

@mrboshek Thanks for the response.  I went with Nin-Nin Games and placed a large order for all the upcoming DC and Marvel figures I'm planning o purchasing this year.  Ami Ami close my account so I had to pivot to find another service for my preorders.  They had all the sold out figures available to order and it came out cheaper also.

I generally order from nin-nin-game.com, but they take payment upfront. Sometimes I'll go with amazon.co.jp if I can't get it from NNG. It's been a while but I think Amazon Japan doesn't charge until the items ship.

Hobby Search, Nin-2-Game, and Hobby Link Japan are my go-tos, along with AmiAmi. They're generally best on price compared to places like Plaza Japan or Luna Park, who I'd only really use in a pinch if the others are all sold out.
