I find popfindr’s Target inventory checker to be more accurate than Target’s own website, especially in scenarios like this. At 1:00 am EDT, only one local store was showing Warbird on Target’s website while eight others in a 35 mile radius had 9 or 10 in stock per popfindr. I woke up in the middle of the night and my local store had them in stock on Target’s website, so I placed an order for pickup while I was half asleep. By the time I went to (successfully) pick her up at 9:00 am, the greater Jacksonville area was pretty much cleaned out.
Of course I’m glad I got one, but objectively, I don’t think this is all that exciting of a figure even though this is my favorite version of Carol Danvers. For all its faults, I feel like the original Hasbro figure has more “presence”…for lack of a better word.
Easily her best costume ever, in my opinion. I really wish they'd have her revert back to it in the comics.
I tend to agree. I'm not a huge Carol fan, I'm only getting her for her connection to the George Perez era team, but yeah, I like this look.
Carol Danvers actually has 3 classic costumes I'd display. Pretty high number for me where most characters top out at 2 or even one.

My Target had Carnage sitting out on the pegs. I picked him up and headed towards the front. Sure enough, street dated for 10/6. So they’re going to have to sit on that thang for 10 weeks. Meanwhile, none of the actual sale items for today were there. This whole street-date thing is so dumb.
Good luck selling all those Hot Claws Wolverines though.

Also, which head is modern and which is classic?
@normdapito classic head is the one with the mask that is only pointy on bottom and is thicker. The more windblown hair is modern and the mask has points on top and bottom and is thinner (the one that is on the figure in the main promo image).
How many times did Dan say Warbird will be easy to get once released. Not that it's on him (it's not), but I doubted it and I was right to. All 3 Targets around me instantly sold out (confirmed by popfindr) and she's not available online. While I'm sure I'll eventually get her, this is a PITA.
That happened for me too. They were on Backorder last night, but now they've shipped.
THEN, the Warbird I ordered last night when she was in stock went on Backorder lol. But I guess I'm lucky it did, as I was able to cancel it since my pre order has now shipped.
Managed to get Warbird! She’s awesome! Beautiful face sculpts and outstanding articulation!
Edit: I have Warbird fighting War Machine because in one of the first stories in which I saw her, she battled a villainous mercenary who was wearing a version of the War Machine suit she fought alongside Heroes Return Iron Man in that epic battle!

Very happy to finally have Carol in my Avengers display! She has been sorely missing for years.
Never grabbed the first release of this version (weirdly enough, also a Target exclusive), donated the more modern Captain Marvel version, and Binary is of course with the Starjammers.
