Armored Beyonder was from Secret Wars II not the original Secret Wars. Granted, a Secret Wars wave could be from the original, sequel, or modern series. Based on the brown Wolverine show (if he's from the SW wave and not an X-Men 97 wave), I don't think it would be the modern series.
I think the epic BAF is Bushmaster in an all-comic Cap wave
Sign me up! 1980-1990 Captain America was and is my all time favorite era of any comic. This would truly be epic for me.
One of my favorites too! I'm sad that after 22 years we've still only gotten one Scourge victim. I would happily buy every character on the cover of Cap 319.
Also need more Serpents, Flag-Smasher, D-Man, Battlestar, Zaran & Machete, and armored Porcupine. I'd even take Everyman and S.U.L.T.A.N. ha ha
Yessir! You're speaking my language. I have a custom Flag-Smasher as well as D-Man and Battlestar customs that I gave up on. Would love to see all those you mentioned as well as Nomad, Madcap, Tumbler, Mad Thinker, Super-Patriot, Right and Left Winger, and John Walker Cap with some Watch Dogs and Resistants while we're at it!
Sorry, I can get carried away when talking about this topic.
Some of these Cap villians don't require much tooling. Baron Blood comes to mind. Who is the go too "ultra skinny" male body at the moment? Might be time to make another. Could see reuse. Classic Diablo, FA Cannnonball, Nightmare, etc.
Is the baggy Red Skull / Dormammu body chonky enough for Mad Thinker? I don't need him chubby just a little width.
"Epic" huh? What if it's a wave of a bunch of their Epic comics characters, from the 80s? & What if the BAF is a big character from that universe?
LOL... for the what, 5 guys who remember Epic comics these days. Come on kids line up for your Dreadstar and Alien Legion action figures?
A huge stumbling block for that of course is that many (most?) of the properties published under the Epic imprint are creator owned - Elfquest, Marshall Law, Coyote, and Dreadstar - aren't owned by Marvel at all so couldn't be part of Marvel Legends.
🙁 aww, too bad. It was worth a shot. lol"Epic" huh? What if it's a wave of a bunch of their Epic comics characters, from the 80s? & What if the BAF is a big character from that universe?

Now this... this I could do! I approve of this message. I would buy this wave so freakin' fast. I want every single one of those characters in my collection and am not even mad that you didn't include Will O' the Wisp.
I saw that interview and I think it was just about BAFs in general, I'm pretty sure 2024 is mostly in the books. But yeah Dwight was pumped up for a BAF wave. As long as it's comic I'm happy, but 100% agree from the way he's spoke in the past I gotta think a badass Cameron Hodge is in play! That would be great, but would also be a great candidate for this new not-HasLab execution. Excited to find out in the months ahead.
As far as the wave - are they ever gonna go back to AoA? There were some cool figures there and Gambit, Holocaust, Bishop, Sinister should be done. Maybe some others. Likewise are they gonna finish The Reavers?? That's another Dwight deepcut and the soldiers should get done up nice along with Pierce.
Some cool ideas here- 2099 has really never been mined and would be fun. Toyetic. Ultraverse sadly seems buried in the past, but I would support obscure 90s stuff. Could really be refreshing.

The BAF I've heard Dwight raving about the most in recent years is Bonebreaker. That was 2022, so I have to wonder if he was remembering that one when he described this new one as the most epic in 4-5 years. More epic to him than Bonebreaker?
My guess is Cameron Hodge. He's mentioned wanting to do that one several times in recent years, so maybe the time finally came. A giant robotic scorpion with a human head could be pretty epic to him maybe. Seems goofy to me, but I never read any stories with him so I could easily be wrong.

I would actually love most of these. Marshall Law is one of my all-time favorite comics, so I've long dreamed of a figure of him. Elfquest is also one of my favorite comics. Dreadstar and Alien Legions figures would also be fantastic. I know it was all in jest, but this has stirred up some feelings from down deep.
Yeah, Dreadstar, Marshal Law, Groo, Coyote...Now I want Epic Legends.
To me the most egregious BAF that has never been is Executioner, by this or the previous administration, but I don’t know if that would be considered “epic” as much as “overdue.”
Ya know what would be “epic” is a working Big Wheel figure.
If they could figure out how to do Armor so the articulation of the inner character and the outer shell operate simultaneously, that would be pretty epic.
I would be thrilled with Cameron Hodge - he's high up on my personal most wanted list. And hopefully that means an X-Factor red and yellow Marvel Girl in the wave, an actually good Iceman, and some other much-needed 80s and 90s X-Men and villains.
But I just have a feeling that it's going to be Big Wheel. Not high on my own list, but seems like the kind of thing that Dwight would describe as epic.
