Well... As far as spending goes, I would also prefer the glider be the BAF as I will absolutely skip it and find one another way. I would prefer a larger hulking-out Sandman than regular sized though. I guess my ideal BAF would be Lizard since I also have the TASM one.

I'm lucky to still have my Marvel Unleashed movie sandman so I can actually skip any movie sandman release but definitely need the glider for Goblin

I completely agree that Aunt May should have taken the place of Murdock or MJ in this wave. Being dead makes this her last chance I feel. Also she was such a catalyst in this film. And it Marisa Tomei, come on now.

Any chance she comes in a 2 pack with the Glider haha. I'd take it!

Aunt May would have made a lot of sense to be in a 2-Pack with Norman.

Then Norman's spot could have gone to Electro and then the BAF could have been a much needed new Lizard.

I really hope that glider isn't the BAF. I dunno, it just feels like such a waste of the concept to me.

On one hand, I'd love for the Final Swing Suit to be the Tom figure, but if it includes an unmasked head with a good likeness, then I'm gonna want to get 2, and my wallet wouldn't be happy with me. I feel like Tom's likeness is one they've struggled to get spot-on.

I'm bummed at the lack of May as well, but then again, I remember people thinking we'd never versions of characters that were released in the Infinity Saga 2 packs a while back- Luis, Sif, Ghost, etc. I'm sure there's hope for her yet. Maybe include her in a 2-pack down the line with the Final Swing Suit (if it doesn't get released here), or a battle damaged Tom.

As for the BAF, I'm sure it'll end up being the glider, which is fine. It'll mean it's a big nicer than just a pack-in, but I think I'd prefer they release him as a deluxe and devote the BAF to Lizard. It's gonna feel so strange waiting 2 years for 95% of the cast, only to be missing 2 key players. Unless they swoop in last minute with the reveal of a store exclusive, which is certainly possible, but would also lead to more frustration, I feel like. I was just starting to be sorta okay with Hasbro and their store exclusives, and then the whole Tracksuit Mafia debacle happened and now I'm not so sure anymore.

Possibly, hopefully, especially since they HAVE done figures of characters (SPOILER ALERT) after their onscreen deaths. Quicksilver, Odin, and Iron Monger at least.

Matt at least offers people something they wanted, so I am cool with him. I would have preferred May to be in there than MJ. That's the major change I would have made. I want Electro, but I feel he may come yet. At least i have both TASM Lizard and TASM2 Electro to keep on the shelf for now, though.

Not to rain on this parade, since I understand why people want May -  but citing these characters from the 2-packs is an example of why Hasbro WON'T do it.     Each of those 2-packs ended up hitting clearance so hard they were for sale cheaper than a single Legends figure.     That Sif 2-pack retailers couldn't give away.  It clearanced down to like $10 and was still available.   The Luis 2-pack had a similar fate.    And I know the Ghost pack was on clearance for awhile.

Hasbro has to take that data when deciding what they can get retailers to sign up for,  so I think a 2 pack with Aunt May might be a tougher sell to their partners than we might want to believe.

Even if we compare to the Spidey specific packs that  Peter/Ned 2-pack went to signficant clearance and the MJ set wasn't exactly a scorching sales leader,  though I think it did better than everything else I listed.   So maybe, as a store exclusive they might get away with it.

Well put the likelihood of a May release right up there with a Darcy. It's fun to dream, though.

Pairing her with Norman and the glider could have worked.

The clearance argument doesn't matter all that much in my eyes since I paid a lot of attention to what I bought last year and noticed by December, I had seen every Marvel and Star Wars on that list go on sale in some manner or another. Some of those are still listed for cheap on Amazon. Isn't that just part of the accepted life of merchandise? Are there products that never go on clearance anywhere at all? I see people complain of certain regions having MCU figures peg warming yet in my city, it's the opposite.

I dunno. I would never claim to have any business sense.

So, yes, a patient person can wait and find a fair amount of product at lower than initial retail - that is true.

That is different than the Luis/Ghost 2-pack scenario where it got discounted to like $6 or the Thor/Sif pack ... those weren't just a mild discount to shake off the last of the stock those were not selling at all and had to be basically given away.

Heh, and both were sets I bought immediately upon release and never saw either discounted on shelves. In fact, I saw the Ghost set only once and that was the day I bought it. So again, I dunno.

But you also have to figure in cost. Luis was a bunch or reuse, as was Thor. So it isn't a matter of how well did it sell, it's a matter of did it make enough relative to how much the set cost to produce. Which are numbers none of us have

Along those lines, there's also 'how much use can we get from the new parts'. A set with Aunt May and Norman for instance is probably just a new head for May (i haven't looked at her costumes in a while though) and an all new Norman, but he could be used again later. Like the Black Order Amazon set where they just used old molds with a few new parts for Cull, Thanos, and Proxima, they could later do a set with the NWH villains and completely recycle the Norman.

I actually still suspect they may do exactly that anyway.
