The other thing with ASM2 is I never felt it really had movie figures. Both are pretty much comic figures, which I see as Hasbro's workaround.

@schizm well, Carnage did get a S.H. Figuarts, so I think it's just Hasbro assuming it's not worth doing especially since Carnage would likely be BAF size

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's a Sony issue.

I'm pretty sure Disney has the Marvel distribution rights for comic stuff and things like that. So Sony is probably charging out the ass for movie merch.

Plus Disney has been notorious for building likeness rights into contracts after figuring out they'd have to pay Amy Adams likeness rights for any Giselle doll they'd want to make in the Disney Princess line.

I seriously doubt that Sony is on top of that.

So with all of that, where it's hard enough seeing product from Spider-Man movies, I doubt we'll ever see any Legends from Kraven, Morbius, or whatever flop Sony puts out next.

@slixta I guess that would be Madame Web. And I don't expect even one figure from that, but... I'd hope to add Julia Carpenter to my shelf.

Both Green Goblin and Doc Ock will be going up for preorder on Thursday...

I am extremely scared i will miss out on these figures (Aussie here) unless I preorder them the minute they appear, but AUD is going to make them 77 dollars each... god help me.

I got the Figuarts Carnage, so I don't need a Hasbro one. I would buy Morbius and Kraven, even though I hated Morbius and Kraven looks as crappy. I doubt Hasbro is doing these Sonyverse characters. Venom blew up and that's only reason we got him. They haven't done anyone else. Hoping Figuarts maybe fills these gaps

Also... he's Venom. A character who prints merch money. 🙂

And no likeness rights!

@ru1977 don't get me wrong, I'd buy all of them, but they won't get made unless the movie is breaking a billion.

I wish Sony would either just partner with Marvel on all their movies or just sell the rights back.

@slixta I get that. And I definitely won't buy all of them but would like for more than just Venom to get made.

And of course I wish Sony would do those things as well.

I'd get a Kraven if the movie ends up entertaining. I think Hot Toys made Venom, Carnage and Morbius so maybe they will make Kraven too.

Maybe we'll get a gamerverse kraven or something. Some gamerverse designs I prefer to the movie ones anyway.

I wonder why the Garfield box says ASM 2 on it and the rest say No Way Home?

This has nothing to do with anything, but I think the bold choice would have been to put Garfield in his original movie costume.  It's more unique.

@yojoebro82 It's all likeness rights BS because Garfield is always a little bitch about it.

I'm guessing it's a lot cheaper to get the likeness rights from a movie that's almost ten years old and didn't break a billion.

It's also probably why we don't have Electro.

Doctor Octopus is also labeled Spider-Man 2, even though he's obviously from No Way Home. Watch Alfred Molina sue over it.

I am very hesitant to hate on people for being protective of their likeness rights. It is after all THEIR likeness! I am sure the labeling has some type of weirdness over the licensing and the likeness and all that. I get collectors want these things, but that doesn't mean people should just accept deals offered to them. We have no idea what they get for a Marvel Legends figure. We don't know if Hasbro, being a large corporation, tries to low ball people and in turn they want the best deal possible for them. Further, it's probably not even them handling these negotiations. It's probably their agents and representation that handle all that. Alfred Molina isn't having 100 phone meetings or Zooms over a Marvel Legends figure, and I highly doubt he sues. That's being over dramatic

So, I say we all refrain from insulting people over things like this. In the end, these are plastic figures.
