Looking at Sharon Carter fighting Madam Hydra on my desk at work makes me realize as much as I want new characters in the line, I would absolutely rebuy every female character they redo on this new superposable female body. The difference between the new Sharon (and last years Black Widow) next to Madam Hydra are striking.
Ended up buying the Secret Wars Doom / Rambeau just for the unmasked Doom head and pleased that it looks decent one one of the unused Dum Dum bodies I'd had to make another non-descript SHIELD trooper. I bought a couple of the female Shield / Hydra trooper packs and the extra heads and guns work well. Plus the helmeted female heads appear to be about the same as the males, so you can utilize those as well. Trying to figure out what to do w/ Doom's body, whether he can be turned into some sort of Reaver or used for caped Donald Pierce custom or something. If nothing else, more hands for Pretty Boy etc.
Also the techno-leg-band on that Doom's leg slides right off. I have it on my blue and yellow Cable's bicep just to spruce it up a bit. For those who want a "time band" you might also try it on 97's Bishop's bicep to see how it suits that figure.
Secret Wars Doom can be a Doombot. I have two of them and that's how I plan to use them. I got the set for Monica, but I figure the Dooms can work as robots.
I never expected I’d enjoy building out a group of SHIELD agents so much, as I tend to skip army building in favour of some weird choices that amuse me. I passed on Hellfire Goons and Hydra and AIM troops in favour of my Classified Cobra figures being Bas guy stand in squads, and I purposely only have four Hand ninjas who distinguish themselves by fighting with swords, sais, nunchucks and a bo, although I dabble on random other ninja kitbashes.
Between the various SHIELD packs though I’ve got a cool squad building up and it’s enabling me to kitbash stand ins for characters from the Agents of SHIELD show
That's definitely an appeal about SHIELD troop building in general. They were given a variety of alternate heads, so each can be its own character with their own personality. I do the same with my Hand Ninjas, giving them distinct weapons to make them more specialized like the Turtles. It's possible with Hydra or AIM or Hellfire etc but those guys work better for me as faceless soldiers.
Man what a 3 pack this is. I mainly got it for Dugan and Fury, but because Sharon is on the Black Widow body she moves SO well.
Finally got my set. Had been lingering in my BBTS POL for a long time. I went with the Shield 2pack blonde ponytail head. Just a cool head sculpt.
