@jtmarsh I definitely think that Sharon head in the picture above reads Emma more than anything. It kind of has a sultry sinister look to it which is why I think it won't work for Sue Storm.

Anyone looking to make that Sharon to Emma swap, be aware that the skin tones are slightly off. Sharon's is darker, Emma's more fair.

Thanks for the "heads up," may just use it for a custom Husk, Amanda Sefton or 90s Val Cooper etc. if it looks too different. If they ever make a totally lime green female body suit, I'm waiting to make a 90s Mansion Captive Emma.
I think I pre-ordered, have to check ten of these altogether from EE, GameStop, Pulse and BBTS and right now only four have shipped. I plan on using these bodies for the SHIELD troops and getting rid of those Bucky Cap bodies. I don't mind my troops being bigger. Hopefully Hasbro will have the same idea and sooner rather than later do a box set with Hydra troops and one with SHIELD troops.
I got my Shield 3pk's today, and I am happy to finally have a decent OG Nick Fury to add to the collection. I would have preferred if they had just opted to put the Fury Jr. head in another pack or with his Star-printed suit so they could have painted the neck on this figure a caucasian skin-one. The Fury Sr. head doesn't look bad on Dum Dum's body, and I do think he looks slightly better with a painted neck, I just don't like the webgear as much. Sharon I may just try to get the belt and holster off of and keep her as a an Emma Frost variant, body swap or not. Overall it comes with plenty of accessories to keep the carpet monster well fed. I don't need a whole regiment of Shield troopers, but the few boxsets I got combined with modified Quake will do nicely. I would still like to see a more 90s Jim Lee-style Fury at some point too, but this is good for now. Also, my biggest take away was they actually got the grey temples to extend all the way to the fleshtone forehead. For so long it's annoyed me that they never do the temples quite right, a la Reed Richard / Count Nefaria and for once they seem to have gotten the paint all the way to the edges of the hair which is a vast improvement aesthetic wise. This may end up my favorite boxset of the year.
They are back up on Pulse
I got my preorder from Gamestop on Saturday and picked it up at the store. What an awesome set! I like both Sharon Carter heads a lot and all the accessories! I haven't bought a 3 pack since the Target one with Warbird, Ulitmate Cap and Radioactive Man. They have come a loooong way.
I have Fury, Dugan, and Maria Hill standing on my desk, and either she is tiny, or they are huge. But the contrast is very distinct. I've yet to pair these new figures with the full set of army builders I've accumulated over the years, including the recent male and females, Gamerverse Captain Americas I put SHIELD helmets on, Ultimate War Machines I used as Capekillers, Mandroid BAFs, and original SHIELD figures from TRU.
Well, this makes me happy:
The reverse with the Astonishing Emma head on the Sharon body looks like Jane Krakowski.
Really hoping I can find this set for a reasonable discount somewhere down the line. It looks fantastic, but I can't really justify plunking down $80 for some new head sculpts and upgraded B&C characters.
I still rock the 2003 series 5 Nick Fury as my main Fury since it looks like he was yanked right off of those Steranko covers and the headsculpt has so much personality. Still have the Duggan from the 2009 TRU 2-packs and Sharon Carter from the Red Onslaught wave....one of the worst releases under the early ML resurgence, but passable enough for a character I'm very "meh" towards. I'd still certainly jump at the chance to replace her for a decent price, though.
Got my lil SHIELD collection out, minus the army builders since I have no space for them.
Just got the three pack. Love the upgrade to Sharon (god the wall-eye on the last version of her is so bad) and I've been hoping for Dum-Dum for a long time. Is it weird I still just flat out prefer the older Nick Fury though? I like the head sculpt so much more than the new one, and even bough an extra head YEARS ago to stick on a spare Everett Ross body to be a low-key undercover Fury (it works SO well, 10/10 would recommend BTW). The new head is fine, and if we didn't have the older version I'd like it a lot, but that first one is one of the best head sculpts from those earlier years.
And TBF, I never liked the Nick Fury Jr. thing - loved Ultimate Fury (I would love a figure of the version of Ultimate Fury who appears very early on in Ultimate X-Men in his ridiculous white suit), love Samuel L MCU Fury, but always felt like Junior was kinda shoe-horned in there. Though I'll probably just keep Junior as is since I'll be keeping the Series 5 Fury around. (Wonder if he'd look better on one of the newer generic agent bodies though? I got my older one used and ol' Nicky's seen some action, his knees ain't what they used to be, kid.)
I'm also a Toy Biz Nick Fury kinda guy. It's a solid figure, doesn't have ball hips, and the head is unbeaten. I'm excited for this new one, and maybe I'll try the old head out on it, but I also enjoy having a sneaky Toy Biz figure here and there in my setup.

Same here. My old SHIELD shelf is so full already with all the army builders you mentioned. I also use Ultimate War Machine as Capekillers. I don’t have room on that shelf at the moment for the newer SHIELD figures. Not a bad problem to have—just so many cool SHIELD figures.

At least you have a space to display them! I can't display ANY of my armies.
